You need to switch Kidd and Felton.

.
As far as I can tell, these tweets are the "ground zero" of all of this chaos. Once this hit the internet, every reporter and blogger around was mining their own sources. Unfortunately, anything short of an outright denial (which their sources couldn't give) would fuel the fires -- which are only going to get hotter by midweek if the Knicks don't make some sort of a statement now.

But I want to know if Felton actual said the Lin quote to the reporter. I know there's a bunch of backtracking since the quote was made. Did this reporter quote Felton incorrectly? If Felton did say that, then that is one helluva quote to give to a reporter about another player's negotiations.

Yeah he's knee kept giving out last year.

So you pencil Thomas in as the back up 4 and camby as the back up 5... problem is if Chandler or Stat go down can you rely on these old guys to start?

if stat goes down melo starts at 4

but i truly believe NY doesnt belive his knee can be healthy, and lets not forget, jeffries could be S and Ted to a higher # compared to NY's vet min guys

Why does Portland do this trade? Couldn't they just sign Jeffries outright?

Steve Popper ‏@StevePopper
Well, Kurt Thomas is the oldest active player in the NBA - and one that was missing from Knicks list. So now 3 of top 6 are in NYC.

LOL. The Geria-Knicks

Two players who will be 40 during next season. That's OK, nothing beats experience.

Melo needs to mind his own damn business about that 3rd year. :lol:

We cannot afford Lin, I mean, he's a ball dominant guard, in a team with already Felton, Kidd, Smith, Anthony and Stoudemire, also he doesn't play defense at all, he would be a mess there.

Let him go, he can chuck whatever he wants there in Houston in a 20-25wins team... Knicks are running for a title! serious team! east coast Defense!

Gadzuric = 1.6 mill

Thomas = minimum
Felton = ???

Maybe this is why Grun didn't wan't Lins offer sheet right away. I haven't looked at the numbers but if we stay under the tax level after the deal, we can give ray 150% + 100k (minus kurts salary).

If Felton comes in shape, this was a great deal, but I'm gonna really miss Jared. Jeffries played hard, and was tough, but he's coming back from knee issues so we're not sure how effective he is. Kurt and Marcus, this feels like 99 all over again. Maybe they're bringing them back to toughen up our bigs *AHEM AMARE?

Does anyone know why the hell Houston is taking so damn long to send us the offer sheet for Lin??? Seems a bit odd to me that it's taking this long.
