only means HOU could only take back JRIch and Duhon and would prob have to give us one (or more) of Douglass/Patterson/Morris to make salaries work. Hedo going to them is prob out.

I'm okay with keeping Hedo. J-Rich AND Dudu need to go. And I love Big Baby's attitude but, if you can get equal compensation for him (Houston loves them some PFs), we should try to dump his contract.

Eastern conference 2012-2013
1. Miami
2. Boston
3. Chicago
4. Indiana
5. NJ
6. NY
7. Milwaukee
8. Philly
Washington
Atlanta
Toronto*
Detroit
Cleveland
Orlando
Charlotte

If we get the Toronto pick it should fall with 5-9. Pair that with us possibly blowing the team up and we are looking at 2 top 10 picks.

Houston would be mad now not to get this Dwight trade done. To team him up with Lin would be marketing gold.

This may not be imminent, but it's closer to resolve then before.

They will take a couple of our bad contracts, J-Rich and BBD and/ Duhon, but not Turk. They will give us Toronto's pick, future picks, Lamb, White, Parsons and Martin or something like that.

BBD is great but only hinders younger players growth in a rebuild. I would consider taking Patterson/Morris and Brockman for him since they all either expire or have team options after this season...wouldn't mind douglass or livingston either as a backup PG since they expire or have TO as well.

If we are losing Howard and not getting Bynum to build around, whats the point? A total rebuild is necessary.

If that was the case shouldn't we have let go Jameer and JJ though??

Both are going to be decent trade pieces throughout the rebuild process. JJ is expiring and Nelon's deal is good/short. Meanwhile we have some veteran fan favorites to keep the show going while we tank.

Trade CHips, got you. Well I honestly don't think a trade gets done unless it points to a total rebuild, or dwight stays. Thats just my opinion though.

I get your point there...I probably (as GM) would have not resigned Jameer and let Redick go but I think there are two reasons they were retained.

1. Two good leaders on and off the court for young players.

2. Uncertainty of which direction we were going...total rebuild or getting Bynum or convincing Howard to stay. If we get Bynum, we can still TRY to trade an expiring JJ + BBD + a pick for say an Ellis. Retool on the fly.
I am sure Henny has a Plan A - Z.
