Kyrie Irving fractured his hand on Saturday morning after slapping the padding on the gym wall at practice.

Irving will be out six to eight weeks and is expected to be ready for training camp.

Damn... I hope this won't effect the potential 3-way trade.

unless u get "cant miss" prospects like durant

and westbrook was supposed to be an elite defensive player straight out of UCLA, i dont think anyone thought he'd ball hog just a bit and become a max player

Add to the luck, Portland passing on Durant. Otherwise Oden would be the starting C healthy as an ox in OKC with jeff Green still there, Perkins would still be in Boston, and Boston might have 18 chips. Portlands ineptitude, once again shaping NBA history.

Tony Mejia: As for #Rockets/#Magic deal, it can be pulled off to land DH even with Lin/Asik, but it wouldn't be homer deal I've heard would lock it up

CLE has draft picks that could facilitate a three way trade, but I don't understand why ORL would want Varejaeo when they are trying to dump salary. I think the Lakers would be interested as a backup big, if CLE would take Turk with Bynum. Of course, that would mean a lot of expiring deals + Blake going to ORL which doesn't seem right. Anyway, this one works:

CLE: Bynum, Turk
LAL: Howard, Varejaeo
ORL: Thompson, Gibson, Luke, Blake, McBob + 2013 1st (MIA), 2013 1st (SAC), 2013 1st (LAL)

The swap pick? Anyway I think Orlando really wants to get rid of JRich because he has the same agent as d12 and can buy out Turk soon?

Yes, the pick sent in the deal for Sessions. JRich to CLE instead of Turk still works and would probably be better for CLE. Two of those three first rounders aren't great though, so probably more picks would have to come from CLE.

Houston's rookies and draft picks seem to be better than what Cleveland can offer though. Just depends on what everyone is willing to give up

I never suggested that Kyrie was ever to be included in the deal... don't even know how the hell you think I'm implying that.

How else would a Kyrie injury affect a S&T involving other players? :dontknow:

Cleveland would not involve Kyrie in any trade talks. He's their franchise player.

High-ranking officials from several teams involved in Dwight Howard chase say all recent talks now dead. "Cavs walked away again," says one.

Which is why his injury should have no bearing on a LA/Clev/Orl deal

I said that cause teams tend to be overly cautious about making moves when their star player is injured.
