It's his representation that got greedy...

i think both he and the Knicks are gonna regret this power play unfortunately... too much ego involved

Is there any way the Knicks could help the Lakers get Dwight, then match Houston's offer and Houston ends up with nothing?

we're not a team that makes experiments, we need to be solid and balanced to compete, Lin unbalance the team, also I don't think anybody seriously believes that Lin has All Star potential (well... maybe he get selected as a starter just for the fans, but that's not what I'm talking about)

The moms and kids know nothing about basketball and those things sell anyway. Also, do you think Asian americans are going to start rooting for the guy if he isn't a superstar? At worst, Lin would be a top notch back-up in the league. His popularity would go down, but he'd still be a huge cash cow anyway. Dolan would be an idiot not to match from a financial standpoint.

Forget about Asians and popularity. You guys want RAYMOND FELTON to run the team? Don't you guys remember the Melo/Amare conundrum? Felton is just going to make things worse, IMO. Kidd's presence helps a lot, and his mentoring of Lin will help, too.

the one in which he's a constant driving threat, has a nice mid-range game, and can hit the open three - none of which are true for felton anymore.

You'll be able to when fans get passed off at the team's self-induced mediocrity and cancel their season tickets.

I'm not sifting through 113 pages... Is there any possibility of the Knicks not matching Lin now that they traded for Felton?

Still think we match but if Asshola's source is right, then it's death time for NYK.

Not a move we recover from -- either for the roster or for the fans. It'd be the end.

I've been a fan since '83 but even I could go no further.

Whether we keep Lin or not depends on what Felton's contract numbers are. If it's 10 million over three years, I think that signals we are still keeping Lin despite getting Felton. If it's 18 million over four years, then I think Lin is gone. But this is all just speculation right now. Hard to determine what's real and not real from these twitter reports.

And I'd like to see Melo and the Knicks get out of the first round. Wasn't our whole schtick last season that we would've put up a better fight if we had Lin and Shump healthy? Do you really think we're winning a championship with Felton/JR as our front court?
