Well, he just likes to see fatties and middle aged men lumber up the court.

Whether Lin is a flash in the pan, or is worth his current contract seems to be irrelevant to me at this point. Fact of the matter is I enjoy rooting for him, and the thought of losing him really sucks.

Yes I realize that he only played a limited amount of games and that he has holes in his game. Still doesn't change the fact that I grew attached to him during his time here. Eventually I'll get over it, but for now I'm upset.

The financial flexibility has been thrown out the door a long time ago.

Last time I checked Melo, Tyson, STATue, Camby and Kidd all come off the books at the same time. Did something change? I get it, people love Lin. But matching this and getting hammered by the luxury tax may be too much.

Uhhh... If we match, Lin gets off the books at the same time as well.

You're missing the point... he proved he can be that player. And for us to WIN NOW we needed him to be that player or find someone who can of which there are only two of.

I don't get how that relates to what Doc was saying to me...

I don't feel Lin is the ONLY player who can play PG for this team, especially at that price tag.

You name another PG who is reasonably available besides Nash or Paul that can lead this team with two cornerstone pieces that don't complement each other well to a championship?

I'm glad you feel that way. I'm sure there's a boatload of PG's averaging 18/7 on 21 PER willing to play for us on the mini-MLE.

Sooo... he has Billy Ray Bates potential, he'd be out of the NBA in 2015...

This isn't just a one-season thing.

Playing in a timeshare with Ty Lawson and mostly as a 3rd guard in the rotation.

While being a malcontent (pouting about not starting), getting over 30 minutes a game, and consistently blowing games for that Nuggets team.

Every Nuggets fan rejoiced his departure; as every Blazers fan is probably doing now.

Charles Barkley was a pretty good fattie.

Just because someone may have some extra baby fat or what not doesn't mean they are overweight or unable to give you some minutes up and down the floor.

Not everyone is Jerome James or Eddy Curry.

I was hoping that we'll not match any offers for Lin/Fields, but that wasn't likely back then, now It so close to be true... It'll be like Christmas for me... what a twist!

Happy Knick fan here!

why wouldnt you want them to match Lin? What negative is there for you personally?

I hate that kind of PG, like Dragic, Lin, Calderon... they are too ball-dominant, don't play D and my opinion are pretty much dead weight for their teams.

I like smart players better than flashy guys, that's why I'm not sold on Amare either, but we can't trade his ass, he's untradeable with that contract, but I can live with him, but Lin... would be too much for me.

I'm talking about the next 3 years when you have the chance to add a game changing piece.

Several media outlets confirmed the report, but The Oregonian has learned that the deal is not complete and includes several other components coming to Portland. The details of the deal are expected to be finalized today.

C'mon... Felton's conditioning has been criticized by multiple coaches. He was indisputably terrible last season, which explains why nobody else made him an offer.

Nothing wrong with being 15 deep. LOL. Bring in all the former Knicks!

Let's have a party. I miss Jeffries.

Lin-Kidd-Felton as our PGs.

Dirty Kurty and Camby back as our bigs.

Let's just look at the bright side. Lin is getting matched. We're all in and if someone gets hurt, that's cool. We got another one hungry and waiting to play.
