this is a joke of a thread. if one player is going to make a lot of u jump ship then why be here in the first place. i am and will always be a knick fan. i agree with another post..change the thread to are you a lin bandwagoner. i'll be pissed if we don't match but to "be done" with a team i've been rooting for my whole life is just non sense.

No. As nice a story as he was and as much as I believe he has a chance to be a very good player in this league Jeremy Lin is becoming Tebow irritating. I would be happy if they matched the offer but it really won't affect me supporting the team if he walks. I'm used to the Knicks doing stupid things and this is not as dumb as trading Shump for Nash would have been.

Always will be a die hard Knicks fan, but the Knicks will always be the same ole Knicks. Lets face it we werent winning a championship with the Melo crew with the team the Heat have and also all the talent OKC has, but Lin actually gave me hope for the future. For one time, we caught a break and got a young point guard that we have been searching forever.

AND now we are letting him go for NOTHING! WTF

5. So you have to ask yourself... "Do I really want to spend DECADES of my life with my NBA fate tied to this guy?" You control that answer.

4. The important thing to remember - Dolan is a complete buffoon. You have a 12-year track record to examine now. He's an incompetent owner.

3. If Celtics were in same situation (with a Dolan owner), I'd stop rooting for them and be an NBA widow unless there was a 2nd Boston team.

2. Here's the thing - Dolan is NEVER selling. The franchise will ALWAYS be screwed up. You have a 2nd NYC team and a legit excuse to leave.

1. To the Knicks fans who keep asking: If you're going to switch allegiance to Brooklyn, it has to happen this summer. But I'm fine with it.

Lin SIGNED the contract. He knew what he was getting into. He wants to sign an offer sheet from the team that dropped him?

As long as Dolan is the owner and surrounding himself with Isiah and his people, we will never see a championship.

Carmelo is a bad contract? Im not even a Melo fan, but thats dumb.

At the end of the day, that poison pill is too much. That poison pill is a killer. Who's to say Linsanity isn't dead by year 3, the year the Knicks have to pay $30 plus out of pocket. Morey screwed us big time. It's within the rules yea, but its damn near bush league. **** if not for the Knicks, does Linsanity even happen?

to the people that are saying you wouldn't be a Knicks fan anymore because Jeremy Lin, who played less than half a season in a Knicks uniform, is not a true Knicks fan to begin with. Yes I do want the Knicks to resign him but if they don't there is no way I stop rooting for them.

1 playoff win with this franchise and 1 year out of the 1st round in his career. 0% leadership, 99% selfishness. Yeah he's a bad contract.

THIS!!!

Nobody **** forced Lin to sign that bull contract. He was gonna get paid way more than his previous pay regardless. Of course, you take the most money you can get...but cmon...to the team that CUT you? Then this same team is trying to screw another team for no reason at all, other than GM's hatred towards big market teams (Bulls, Knicks, both Asik and Lin got poison pill offers).

I'm torn about how I feel about this...

II'm not married to Lin being here if it is for the wrong reasons but if this truly is a Dolan ego trip, it would be very hard for me to not see how Dolan stuck his nose in the middle and mucked it up yet again...

could really use a Wojo insider exclusive right now

Oh no, I would not stop watching the Knicks but I no longer feel anything when they lose much like Phil Jackson as one of the only Knicks who has bling doesn't like that roster for his own reasons.
