Melo earned his money? Not even close. Melo is one of the biggest underachievers of all-time and I really doubt he'll get any better. I personally did want Lin to leave NY when FA started but not for the Rockets.

Like I said, I admit that I will have no associates with your franchise if it weren't for Lin but I would root against this team probably forever if Lin doesn't come back.

I guess not offering a contract in the first place and going after Nash was showing respect to Lin ? Loyalty is overrated. It's a business for both sides. If the Clippers offered Chris Paul for Lin then Grunwald and Dolan wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger, even if Lin said he doesn't want to be traded to LA.
If somehow Morey changed his mind and decided to withdraw the offer sheet (instead of increasing the salary in the third season), I doubt Dolan and Grunwald would have offered Lin a max four-year deal with Early Bird rights. If no other team showed interest, they would have lowballed Lin. That's why they didn't offered him a max Early Bird deal in the first place. They were looking for a bargain. They hoped no team would bid considering Knicks said they would match any offer. Their strategy backfired, instead of being intimidated, Morey offered a three year max contract and dared the Knicks to match. Dolan/Grunwald gambled and they lost. Be a man, get over it and match !

He said he couldn't run, cut, or jump and would not have been able to contribute. People with an agenda are too stuck on the actual number. He didn't use a knee-measuring device that pumps out a percentage of how good his knee is.

You think because they have an "asian market cornered" that it will be equivalent to playing in New York and the stage that brings? Not a chance.
Unless he comes out of the gates blasting and causes media to watch him due to the Rockets getting off to a great start, it won't be what it would have been here.. They'll follow him a little, highlight him when they show the rockets, but unless theyrre extraordinarily good it won't be covered like it would have been had mr LINsanity attempted to right the Knick ship... He'll slowly fade if a big bang isn't sparked.
