Include as much as you can. Leave nothing out of these trades.

Melo earned his money? Not even close. Melo is one of the biggest underachievers of all-time and I really doubt he'll get any better. I personally did want Lin to leave NY when FA started but not for the Rockets.

I think it just goes to show you that Melo was jealous and bitter as hell when Linsanity was hot.

Like I said, I admit that I will have no associates with your franchise if it weren't for Lin but I would root against this team probably forever if Lin doesn't come back.

One of things you learn in covering #Knicks is you don't cross owner James Dolan. He is a very loyal guy but when disloyalty is shown, you are done with him. That may very well be case here with Jeremy Lin. It wasn't just the money, which was obscene in third year. As we have reported last couple of days, the renegotiation of an offer sheet that was agreed upon and leaked to press - after Woodson publicly said they'd match and he'd be starter - was a kick in gut to organization.

The renegotiation of the offer sheet was a kick in gut to organization ? Gimme a break !
I guess not offering a contract in the first place and going after Nash was showing respect to Lin ? Loyalty is overrated. It's a business for both sides. If the Clippers offered Chris Paul for Lin then Grunwald and Dolan wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger, even if Lin said he doesn't want to be traded to LA.

If somehow Morey changed his mind and decided to withdraw the offer sheet (instead of increasing the salary in the third season), I doubt Dolan and Grunwald would have offered Lin a max four-year deal with Early Bird rights. If no other team showed interest, they would have lowballed Lin. That's why they didn't offered him a max Early Bird deal in the first place. They were looking for a bargain. They hoped no team would bid considering Knicks said they would match any offer. Their strategy backfired, instead of being intimidated, Morey offered a three year max contract and dared the Knicks to match. Dolan/Grunwald gambled and they lost. Be a man, get over it and match !

He said he couldn't run, cut, or jump and would not have been able to contribute. People with an agenda are too stuck on the actual number. He didn't use a knee-measuring device that pumps out a percentage of how good his knee is.

So maybe he should've shut his mouth when asked how close was he to returning. If Melo, STAT or any other NY Star athlete would have mad such a statement they would have been killed by the media

He was and is being killed for it. Seriously, people around here have selective vision/hearing. SAS and fellow idiots killed him on a daily basis even when he was playing well.

Lin majored in economics at Harvard but I think he screwed this one up.

Half of these will probably end up going bankrupt; meanwhile, Lin will laughing all the way to the bank.

Houston ain't New York. No one will care if he goes through a few weeks of great stats, or where that team goes like they would the Knicks.. And I doubt the off the court stuff is as nearly lucrative as what NY brings.

It don't matter... they already have the asian market cornered. He misses nothing if he plays in Houston... maybe the fans. Same court.. same game.

You think because they have an "asian market cornered" that it will be equivalent to playing in New York and the stage that brings? Not a chance.

Unless he comes out of the gates blasting and causes media to watch him due to the Rockets getting off to a great start, it won't be what it would have been here.. They'll follow him a little, highlight him when they show the rockets, but unless theyrre extraordinarily good it won't be covered like it would have been had mr LINsanity attempted to right the Knick ship... He'll slowly fade if a big bang isn't sparked.

I'll take the guy that isn't some chucking loser that fails to get past the 1st round year after year and isn't some massive underachiever.

Like I said, if this organization is too dumb to not match Lin's contract then I wish this organization nothing but the worst.

We went from Nash/Lin to Kidd/Lin to Kidd/Felton. WTF happened?

Ernie wanted to let the market set the price for Lin and this is what happened. I don't think Lin wanted to leave. He (his agents) just played by the rulers. Ernie must have known that the poison pill was a possibility. He could've just offer him something reasonable like 5/5/9/9 and let him choose. At least that way, Lin would've had a choice.

This sucks big time. Not sure why Dolan is not gonna match. Lin's camp must have done something to piss him off.

And w/r/t melo, I don't think he cares either way. But I don't think he minds Lin not being here because he wants all the spotlight.

If Melo cares about his image and legacy, he should speak up. Outside of NY there are serious doubts about his character.

lol you wish. Yao at one stage was getting HOU players sponsor deals left and right and he never had any problem making money outside of the court.

Last time I checked people were stalking Lin's grandma in taiwan.

You better send a message to Lin to withdraw the offer sheet!! He made this ****, he has the power to redo all he did... Ask him to give up his 25M (tax included) 3rd year!!

All I can say is if Big Papa goes than Diebler best be coming in this deal so we can basically erase off 2nd rounders.

No clue what the hell we are doing right now. Getting way too cute...

Getting old...letting young players walk away. Talk about f***ing things up within a matter of days.

Return to New York Knicks
