Tony Mejia ‏@TonyMejiaNBA
On #Magic coaching front, think upset coming: Jeff Hornacek or Jacque Vaughn. Pre-interview favorite Brian Shaw a far better fit w/#Blazers.

Tony Mejia ‏@TonyMejiaNBA
Shaw was in Orlando w/#Pacers and has a great situation. Still, he wants a head gig. Like Michael Malone, next in line. Meeting w/#Blazers.

I gotta say I really prefer Malone.

But I'm not gonna judge Hornacek/Vaughn before they're even hired, I trust the people making the decision.

I am feeling Vaughn. Brian Shaw must not be a great interview...maybe his patience just ran out. I think we should here something pretty soon then.

Good. I preferred Malone. Good in the sense we at least know who they are not considering now.

I prefer Malone as well, but I still find it rather surprising that he'd pull out of the coaching search in ORL. He must be getting a lot of love in POR.

That or maybe he got a courtesy call from the Magic saying he didn't get the gig. Which may mean that we're close to a hiring.

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt
Phoenix Suns are awarded ex-Rockets forward Luis Scola, per league sources. Houston used amnesty clause on Scola Friday.

Great pick up for the Suns. Scola/Gortat is a solid front court in the West. Going to be a pretty fun team to watch, especially if they get OJ Mayo.

Brian Windhorst ‏@WindhorstESPN
The Suns have waived Josh Childress using amnesty provision, sources say. Possibly making room for OJ Mayo
