Haven't watched it yet. I'm looking forward to watching Lilard play, if that's in Vegas or not, not sure.

I'm only interested in the Rockets rookies... since they may end up on our team.

BTW, not saying experience should be overlooked but I don't you need to be an assistant coach for 10 years before becoming a head coach either.

For example Avery Johnson was an assistant for all of five months before being bumped up to Head Coach. Not sure what Doc Rivers was doing before he became the Head Coach of the Magic, but I can't seem to find anything on him being in coaching between being a player and a coach. Mark Jackson was an analyst on TV for a few years, but never an assistant coach. Straight to coaching.

I'm not saying the Magic are foolish if they don't take coaching experience into consideration. But I also think former player's sometimes don't have to wait as long to rise to head coach. They've been around the game long enough. Playing for so long and being involved in the game (especially for Point Guards) is experience in itself. They're also able to connect with players better, because the player's say "they've been there."

If Vaughn is chosen, I'll welcome him and look forward to seeing how he does. If he sucks he sucks. But I'm not going to say he's a bad choice just because he's only been an assistant two years. I'm not saying he's a good choice, I'm just saying we, as fans, don't have enough information to make that guess.

so me and my friends whos a 76ers fan came up with a dwight howard trade to philly.

magic would get Evan Turner, IGGY, Moultrie(rookie 1st round Big from Mississippi State) and 2 Years of 1st round picks.

that would be a pretty good deal but i dont see how we could get rid of them high contracts in it besides 1(jrich). i would then try to trade Iggy along with some other bad contracts for some Short term contracts and picks.

Haven't we been in the Luxury Tax for the past 6 for so seasons now?

Didn't RDV pay for Ra$hard Lewi$?

Isn't he paying Gunberto a ton load of money while he's not playing?

Seems to me like these are the polar opposite of "making money".

YBR has either been exposed as a fraud or a puppet controlled by Dwight.

Dwight knows his options are limited. I'll keep on repeating, I wouldn't be shocked if he resigned. Especially if Rob can pull of a move to bring in adequate help.

Mark Jackson isnt a good analogy. I thought he was horrible last year as a coach.

Our options are as limited as Dwight's when it comes to trying to pull off a homerun move....damn near impossible and according to some posters around here a homerun will be able to "convince" Dwight to stay.....no way in hell we can get a big name with our pieces....

Lowering our expectations isn't the way to be successful.

Sweet.
All you guys are catching me off guard. lol Today I found out that Mule Tears is actually MagentaTurban. You guys need to put your old name in your sig for a short while, so there is an adaption period for people like me.

That's just me though :)

That's an interesting one, considering the reported losses by the Magic over the past five to ten years. Forbes estimates their operating loss in 2011 at $16 Million. Over the past ten years the team has lost about $27 Million (again, this according to Forbes - see http://www.forbes.com/teams/orlando-magic/ )

So for Dwight to question the profitability versus championship motivations of RDV, he's way off base. Not to mention he's been happily collecting his $18 Million per year during that time. Sure, the team has made mistakes, but to question the teams goal of a championship versus draining money from the franchise - swing and a miss there.

Also worth noting - could this be Dwight attempting to float a backpeddle out there and see how it flies?
