I'd say they should sign him and then try to trade him after a year or two if they don't want to pay the price of third year.. But his value is at a likely all time high right now.. And that'd be taking a pretty big risk. Though at least you'd probably get something back for him..

Or...they are getting Felton at a discount and can never have too much talent when you are pursuing a title?

GONYK, you've been missed. Your rational is needed at all times.

No matter what happens, picking up his deal is the right call.

Whether we do it or no remains to be seen.

You know I agree, but there is alot of hope on the court for this deal.

I'm not even commenting on the off court piece anymore.

I still believe they match, but i wouldn't be surprised either way.

Thats the whole stupidity behind this whole thing, somebody will trade for him if he's not even playing that good just based on age, potential, and marketability. A team like Toronto with a big asian community and his buddy fields would easily take a chance on him.

IT may be one of the dumbest moves in the history of the Knicks if they dont match this offer.

With all this backlash from the fans, there's no way in hell the Knicks don't match. Impossible.

Dolan has to compete with Brooklyn. Casual fans now have an alternate team to root for if the Knicks start to piss them off. Those BK Nets snapbacks are like the hottest item in the area right now. Knicks aren't dumb. They will match. At the end of the day, the contract stinks, but the ball is still in their court.
