im amazed at the volume of bandwagoners in this board alone.
(imagine how much more "knick" fans are just LIN fans in disguise)

letting d'antoni, gallo, lin, jeffries, and walsh go in favor of woodson, melo, felton, half the naacp, andj.r. smith might just be too much for me

i don't know if i can take the team moving away from that 2010 team that was built under a cohesive point of view and had upside in favor of an ill-fitting mess.

this post is blatantly racist

What's really funny is if the Knicks become a legit contender this year, the bandwagon fill back up with these same fans

Ive been a knick fan since I could walk. I don't need to prove my loyalty. I am just tired of this team making stupid decisions. One step forwards three steps back. We finally get some good karma, some great luck. Practically a lottery pick gift wrapped and we are about to piss it away.

Keep dreaming...I wouldn't be surprised if the loss of Lin to the Rockets results in the Knicks' failure to make the playoffs next year.

At this point i feel like some people are done with NYK if we DO match. A lot of moral outrage at Lin.

Haha, if this team does not win the Atlantic division and get the #2 or #3 seed, I will be extremely disappointed

There is no excuse for ignorance .

You said you're not leaving the forums, so if Lin is not matched why would you still post here?

Tantrums like these happen everytime we're about to lose a young player. Happened during the Denver trade and those guys are still here (or banned)

It's really disappointing that Lin is leaving but it really is a "ridiculous contract".

I always think of Donnie's quote that "a player is good at one number and not at another". I love what Lin brought to this team but that number had me balking. Not sure wtf Houston is thinking here.

Never had to try; the Knicks have been in my blood since I knew I had blood. I was a Knick fan when Ewing was here guaranteeing championships, and I was a Knick fan when we foolishly traded him to Seattle.

I may not like the decisions of the executives, but the Knicks are like family. Regardless of the bullshyt they pull, I'll always be a Knicks' fan. I don't understand how someone can be so upset about Lin they'd relinquish their allegiance. I'm in favor of any move that makes my team better, and if the executives think letting Lin go makes us better in the long term, I'm with it.

I almost wish jerseys didn't have names on the back of them at all.

Then you are blind my friend

What earth do you live on that makes you comfortable with Dolans decisions?

I want to move there

I'm not always comfortable with the decisions, but I'm comfortable knowing that they are trying to get better, as opposed to trying to make money like the Bulls. In this regard, it's not Carmelo we're talking about here. Or Chandler. It's not a player with years of doing what they do so that we know what we're getting. Anyone who knows exactly what we're getting from Lin these next three years needs to in Monaco right now with naked women and drinks for all the money they've made based on these unique gifts. For that third year risk, I want to KNOW what I'm getting.

Sounds like a lot of people are fans of Dolan's checkbook first and fans of the team second.

Sounds like you don't think Lin is worth that contract otherwise that would be your argument. Winning teams retain flexibility by offering salaries commensurate with their playing abilities. The loss of Lin likely HURTS Dolan's checkbook due to international interest.

The Knicks can suck it. Every time I get my hopes up, they let me down. They are dead to me. And what do you know, a better more interesting team just moved into my neighborhood!

We're not going to be under the cap in the next 3 years. I can guarantee you there will not be any move where we'll all say 'they were able to do that cause they didn't overpay Lin.'

Seriously??

You all are going to give up on the franchise for Jeremy Lin? I could understand if it was Carmelo maybe but Jeremy Lin? Good riddance then.

He's not even the third best player on this team. He's an average point guard, albeit better than Raymond Felton.

Lin leaving could possibly be the best thing to happen to this forum. It might be in turmoil for a couple days but eventually cooler heads will prevail and it'll be in a better shape thanks to the annoying Lin fanboys moving to the Rockets forum.
