He signed with the most hated rival (outside of LA) that they have right now - the team that just beat them in the ECF - and he did this after the Celtics offered him twice the money miami did. To them it's like Damon jumping to the Yankees. It's not just that he left - it's who he left for - everyone there thinks it was done out of spite. Apparently KG and Pierce are dumbfounded and upset by who he signed with as well.
well Maybe the GM should have grown a Pair and traded rondo who apparently Ray Allen Didnt get along with![]()
he doesnt care about the money. with Boston he lost trust with them when the GM failed at trading him at the deadline. i mean why would u want to resign with a team that tried to trade you without given Proper Notice
I agree with what Ray did.
My point was that a lot of folks in Boston lost respect for him because of who he signed for. just like a lot of people i talk to out here in LA think Dwight is right for wanting to leave Orlando - (whether the Lakers get him or not).
People in the city a player is choosing to leave very rarely side with the guy leaving - irrational or not. There are very few Nash-type scenarios. Perspective is blinded by emotion.
