Your buddies have short memories... Boston had no problem entertaining trade offers involving Allen. They also kept him on the bench and brought in Terry before Allen made his decision.

He signed with the most hated rival (outside of LA) that they have right now - the team that just beat them in the ECF - and he did this after the Celtics offered him twice the money miami did. To them it's like Damon jumping to the Yankees. It's not just that he left - it's who he left for - everyone there thinks it was done out of spite. Apparently KG and Pierce are dumbfounded and upset by who he signed with as well.

Seems you are listening too much to your Boston friends. They're thinking with pure emotion. I can understand the bitterness considering their tradition and history, but there are many signs that point to why Allen made his decision and it does not include spite. Boston was treating him like crap and tried to cover it up by throwing money at him. He probably would have stayed if they treated him like a quality free agent instead of an afterthought. Between Terry and Bradley, what's left for Allen? If he's going to play backup, he might as well join a better contender and move to a warmer location where he can semi-retire while playing. Miami made him feel wanted again; they made him feel young. Boston repeatedly made him feel like he's done; they made him feel old. He did what's best for him out of the options available. It was a no-brainer for him. Did Boston fans expect him to sign with the bobcats and waste his last years in the league?

I have a feeling Parsons is one of the players Houston will refuse to include... which would be hugely disappointing considering he's from Orlando and was a huge Magic fan growing up. He would fit exactly what Henny is looking for... a player who would want to stick with the team.

Anyone know if Parsons was even rumored in the original deal from months ago?

Only way that happens is if Dwight indicates he's open to re-signing next summer... I don't see that happening unless Brooklyn truly was the only other place he wanted to play.

i agree...bottom line the organization wants a commitment from Dwight....Alex has said those exact words......if we don't get that commitment then we will do what's best for the organization....so basically whatever we need to do to unphuck the situation Otis put us in....with these old over the hill players and the abomination that is Chris Duhon......

Because J-Rich and BBD have a positive value and could net us more picks. Plus I'm really stuck on Glen. I like nothing about Hedo at all.

I couldn't agree more. At least Davis will teach these kids about sacrifice and hard work, Hedo is lazy, makes bad decisions, and is an awful basketball player. I think he is probably my least favorite player in Magic history...I mean, Houston fans, uh... he can still help you contend! Haha

Some real class acts in the NBA these days:

What if the Knicks DO decide to match it.....you are really gonna say those things before it's even been decided? Wow...sounds like the kind of guys Dwight wants to play with.

Hedo was extremely crucial to our Finals run. Least favorite in history?? Wow...

It's okay to think it, but don't go out there and say that **** publicly.
Pathetic.

If Parsons can be a Hedo guy, probably not there with the assists, but better in athleticism and defense, then we'll have done well to find his replacement. Prime, uninjured Hedo is a mismatch against just about everyone except Lebron James.
