I heard he was organizing a mass hunger strike. Lets see if anybody else joins him.

It looks as if Orlando has a big baby on its team, and it's not Glen Davis.

But people will still say what Lebron did was worse.

The real winner in all this? Lebron James.

Shame on you. Robinson is a honorable veteran who served the US, icon, hall of famer and legend.

Howard need psychological help if only half of what we hear is true.

If this is true, I wonder who is telling him that this is an okay thing to do? I'm pretty sure you can't just "make up" an injury now that this rumor is out there.

I'm not praying for it, but I'm not going to say I wouldn't crack a smile if he suffered a career ending injury.

He just had surgery to fix a herniated disc in April.

Back injuries are no joke, especially when you're talking about big men.

Knicks did it to Marbury, Pacers did it to Tinsley. Just tell him to go away. Don't trade him, just let him walk. Have him sit where ever he wants the entire season. This is waaaay worse than anything Lebron ever did. Now that I think about it, LeBron was treated very unfairly, he honored his contract and he chose a different team during free agency. And this is coming from a Bron hater.

Dwight is owed $19 million this season. Dwight also puts people in the seats. The Magic simply can't afford to pay a guy that much money while he just sits out an entire season.

I still call BS on this whole story. There is no way Dwight sits out an entire season. If he was really so worried about his image he wouldn't be doing this.

Yep, and when an independent doctor examines him and gives him the all clear, what does he do then?

If you're from Cleveland it was.
If you're not I'd imaging Howard has lapped him by now.

Who knows? We'll find out when/if it happens. There's no need to crucify the guy at this point.

The same thing construction workers do to get disability instead of unemployment. Put patches on his back say his back hurts *easy to prove he did just get surgery* act like its painfull when ever a doctor touches him . you know the back region is the hard place to prove someone is hurt or not? For the simple reason they can just say its all in his head but they cant make him play or wont make him play because if he said he cant they say he can and he gets hurt CHUCHING

I'm not crucifying him at all - I'm saying I don't think this would happen in the first place. The requirement to convince a doctor that there is something wrong when his examinations suggest otherwise is just one flaw in the plan. Beyond that, there would be the loss of earnings, there would be the irreparable damage to his reputation, and there's the fact that despite his behavior of the last 8 months, I don't believe Dwight is unprofessional enough to pull something like that.

part of the blame goes to the magic here to. They have handled this whole thing poorly as well. I imagine they must have made some promises to Dwight to get him to sign that extension that they haven't come through on.

If I was Dwight I would have a little fun with it. Start jacking up a three every time you get the ball. When the coach yells, just shrug and tell him you were open.

Up until now, all news pointing to the Magic trying to get Howard to STAY in Orlando beyond next season.

If they manage to do that, 19 million is a small price to pay compared to the revenue they'll be losing by rebuilding.

The only reason he opted in was because the Magic threatened to trade him to the Lakers instead of his beloved Brooklyn. I doubt they promise him anything outside of getting rid of Stan Van Gundy.
