Re: Kevin Seraphin
Apparently Seraphin led France with 12 points, but Spain got the win. Pau w/ 22 & 10, Serge w/ 16 & 10, maybe Kevin was outmanned in the post? Glad to see France kept it close (75-70), this should be good experience for Kevin.

Re: Kevin Seraphin
What I wrote on GB about the one we're calling here in France " Mister K. " :
I was in the public so my view could be somewhat false.
In postgame ITW, he was smilling like a child he clearly enjoyed this battle (no way you can consider this game "friendly") and you feel like he wants to play them again.
Seraphin was the best french player, I'm in love with this kid. His only problem is his poor rebounding, he boxes out well but he's just not a killer on the board unless he has to grad the ball like a cherry. But the kid is just nasty I like it, I feel like he's the last of the dying breed of enforcer, you can't move him and it takes a really good Gasol to beat him, and in O his mini-hook is money and he likes it, no dribble spin move and other flash useless stuff just some good old post moves whom aren't that incredible but terribly efficient, good FT shooter BTW. I think that he can be a legit career 14/8 with ubber efficiency and top 3 post defender in the league. Plus you can feel he likes it when **** just get ugly, after the Gelabale/Fernandez he was giving his all on defense and was pumped as hell.

Strong game from Kevin against Brazil and Nene Hilario (and Varejao and Splitter). He was very impressive with is post-moves, smooth and agressive, more and more confident with his offense. He did a good job defensively and improved his rebounding. Very good all-around game for Seraphin against a strong team inside

Good news about Kevin, his time spent overseas has really helped his game.

Re: Kevin Seraphin
Think the box score says he got 8-4 in about 15 mins, which isn't bad at all considering he was a 14-7 guy pretty much down the stretch last year. I'm curious as to the low playing time, do you think Wizards have asked the French National team to curtail his minutes? Or has he just not earned the starting minutes yet.

Re: Kevin Seraphin
Nobody understand, it's clear that everybody knows and think that Seraphin (besides Noah) is our best frontcourt guy...
I didn't see the last game against Brazil but another good performance from Kevin. Turiaf is clearly getting a starting spot and so much minute because he's a friend of Diaw and Parker and he's in coach Collet's note. His defense and rebounding are clearly overrated, he's supposed to be an energy guy but in this role he couldn't lace Florent Pietrus boots and offensively he's ****.
If it was for me Turiaf wouldn't even be in the team and Seraphin would be an instant mininum 20/25-min a game player.

Re: Kevin Seraphin
Turiaf is the starter, but the best player is Seraphin by far. The only reason why Turiaf starts is team chemistry, as Turiaf is the best friend of TP and Diaw, and one of the most experienced end dedicated guy in the team, with Flo Pietrus. Talent-wise Turiaf should not make the french NT, there is a lot of center who are better than him (Noah, Seraphin, Traoré, Mahinmi, Vaty).
Seraphin didn't get more playing time because of Turiaf, and because of the fact that Traoré needs to play after being injured a long time. Diaw plays some minutes at the center spot too.

Another excellent game by Kevin against Australia.
http://www.fibalivestats.com/matches/38 ... tTkEUdSPc/
In 18m, he was the main target when he was on the floor. 4/5, all not easy shots. 8pts, 1rb, 1blk. Third best scorer but a lost.
Next game, USA in London.

I vote for changing the name of assists to "Passes décisives".

Kevin coincides he needs to work on rebounding, but he just doesn't have it in-him apparently.

I really hope he picks it up. At least to Nene levels. I actually think he could be a very similar player in his prime, if he continues to work on his game.

France got bodied by the USA 98-71. Seraphin still needs to work on passing out of the double team... had a couple baskets...

Seraphin's rebounding is like the weirdest thing Ive ever seen in my life. If you go by his size, game, attitude, & competitiveness it seems like not only would he be a good rebounder but one of the best in the league. It just seems so weird

Anyone else see the FT miss where Kevin and Melo were battling for the rebound? Melo was clearly getting frustrated... talk about a physical battle...

Re: Kevin Seraphin
Kevin looks like he continues to get in better shape. His arms looked sculpted and downright enormous. He had a sweet rejection of a Deron Williams drive too.
He hit a very nice turnaround over Kevin Love -- turned over his right shoulder and I expected him to go up for the lefty hook, but he was pretty far out. Just shot a true turnaround/fadeaway and looked very comfortable doing it.
He missed a ferocious dunk, that I would have liked to have seen him finish.
After some initial success, he struggled. The speed and aggressiveness of the US defense frustrated him. Once the margin got larger, his body language appeared to relax and he did a lot of standing around. I don't know if it was fatigue or frustration or some combination.
I wish the French team had Noah and Beaubois healthy and that Mickael Pietrus could find his way back in to the NT's good graces. They would be a real challenge to Spain.

All true, but he lacks rebounding instinct. He concentrates on blocking out instead of instinctive positioning/reading then attacking rather than holding off instinctive rebounders like Kevin Love.
