That exact t-shirt is on an auction for kids. 6 days left. 180$ at the moment.

NO ONE is bidding on these jerseys lol. If the bid started at $50 I would def consider a signed jersey lol

A signed Valanciunas rookie jersey will probably be worth something in a few years.

yeah that's a nice bit of memorabilia right there. Officially his first raptor jersey and signed, pretty sweet.

^ Well if the bid is only $180 and there are only a few hours of bidding left then I would def consider it.

Just curious how authentic that jersey is. Because a real NBA jersey cost about the same price. Are the letters stitched on or is it stamped on with that fake stuff?

Looks like the real deal to me from the photos - adidas authentic game jersey, stitched, even has the extra characters above the 'C' and 'U'. No doubt that was produced at the ACC and is very likely the same jersey he was first given when he met the press.

Our main center-Javtokas is out for the Olympics. Val will have to step it up big time

**** news for Lithuanian fans, but some positive (as cruel as that may sound) for Raptors fans. Robertas Javtokas suffered a stress break in his foot bone and therefore is out of the national team roster, so much more playing time for JV in the Olympics as he is going to become a starter and the main center for us, I imagine at least 30 minutes a game... If he's not going to foul out before that...

Oh man, I'm afraid he will be limited up to a ten minutes a game if he's starting

I'm really afraid of Jonas potentially burning out come October; even more so now that Javtokas went down. He looked exhausted during their exhibition games, even with his admirable performance against Horford.

I should also mention that starting from 2004 and up until 2012 Robertas Javtokas have not missed a single LTU National Team summer.

It's a concern as he has looked like he's been fatigued, mentally and physically since May. I think as long as the raptors give him 3 weeks to sit on a beach before coming to Toronto in early September he'll be just fine. 3 weeks off for a 20 year old athlete is more than enough time to recharge the batteries and will be longer than he has had away from the game in the last 2 years.

Your point being playing for NTs is very bad for players' health?

First of all, people are different, there are a lot of players who get injured, there a lot of players who don't get injured. If we were to be so concerned about their health, club seasons (such as NBA & Euroleague) have like 20x times higher injury risk rate. You'd say that's different - it's their job? Yeah we can say that, if we are being materialistic (not too concerned about the players' health as opposed to club's best interest). In reality, professional sports is a very unhealthy thing, by the time people end their professional careers a lot of them have big health issues.

If I misunderstood your post, I'm sorry.

I think being a patriot is one of the most honorable citizen traits, maybe not so much in USA or Canada, but definitely in the rest of the world.

^^^ All I took from VanGuards post was to never allow JV to ride a motorcycle.

I can't understand how can someone interpret that post in such a negative way. My main interest of basketball is in my National Team. I hope this is clear enough of an answer.

I wouldn't call my post a negative one. In fact, I think we're on a same page here. Sorry that I misunderstood you, it's just that your post was rather unclear.

Well it would be hard to blame the motorbike accident on playing for NT. His post was more of a parising Javtokas toughness. Guy int that great of center despite being drafted by Spurs before the bike accident but one cannot say that the guy isnt tough. Always come back to play for NT despite the injuries and pain. Guess the last one of stress fracture caught up with him though.

Well Valanciunas now will have even more chance to shine... if he manages to stay on the court without fouling himself out.
