Jesus H. Christ, Rockets...I know that a few months ago I said that the only player I really wanted to keep on the roster was Motie. I never expected you to respond so literally!

How good could a lineup of

Montie/Asik
Jones/Patterson
Parsons/White
Lamb/Dragic
Lin/Brooks

be?

3 rookie starting, 4 total in the rotation.

About 25 wins give or take out of 82 games.

And i would love that. Hello top 3 pick.

I would seriously love watching that lineup, but yeah, in terms of wins, we'd be pretty bad.

Marcus Morris is a bust until proven otherwise. Don't know why people were high on him. Shumpert wudve been a legit pick.

From the few quarters i caught from rockets. Lamb was really good. Reminds me of a young rudy gay.
Terrence jones was a beast today. He looks better than Patterson and Marcus Morris already! at 18th pick. Definitely should pick T Jones for future. Dragic doesn't look that bad at all. Once he learns how to get in the score sheet, he'll be better off. Definitely should keep Dragic for PG or SG. Didn't see DMO or Royce play.

Dragic is gone already. Better hope and pray Lin can continue to shoot 60% from the field (not likely). But a fun team to watch get a top 5 pick. Get noel or Zeller with the Rox pick next year and a stud PG with the Raptors pick or combination of other picks and in 3 years you have a contender.

I feel like we are not overpaying Asik just to be a backup if we get him. Motie may be 6'11" but he's only 220. He's a PF this year. The lineup will probably be more like...

Asik / Patterson
Motie/Jones
Parsons/White
Lamb/Livingston
Lin/Brooks

Still a fun team to watch. I think Lin will be asked to do too much scoring, Lamb will be thrown into the fire and we will see what he can do quickly. I think we are waiting to see if Asik is matched to decide if we're going after Howard or Bynum or tanking the season.

What happens to Kevin Martin... He will start over Lamb if no trade.

Don't think that's an option.

Hassan Whiteside was waived by Sac. Might be an interesting pickup for us. Or is Jerome Jordan better?

Didn't Brooks signed with the Kings? Shaun is a PG, not SG, IMO.

Looks like we're developing some kind of small identity. We're taking a huge gamble on Lin, but if it works out then this is going to be one fun team to watch. I've really enjoyed watching our rookies in this summer league, picking the BPA in the draft is again the most solid decision and Morey's continued to show us that year in and year out ever since 2007. A lineup of Lin-Lamb-Parsons-D-Mo-Asik? That'll be fun to watch.

Wolves fan here. Just wanted to say that I love what Morey is doing for you guys. While I'm not crazy about Lin, I thought he nailed all 3 picks at the draft and respect that he is refusing to remain mediocre. I just have a few thoughts for you all

-Royce White: he is going to be a fun player to watch. I am positive that he will improve his FT% eventually too. I think he could become a star honestly. He reminds of Kevin Love in a way, in that both are relatively unique talents (Love as elite 3P/Rebounding combo) that are difficult to project. At the end of the day however, the guy can flat out ball and you will love having him around if he keeps his nose clean and works hard

-I think a Terrence Jones, White and Donatus frontline would be a ton of fun to watch and more than capable of holding its own against most frontcourts. If given time to grow, these guys, along with Lamb and Lin could become a nice core one day.

That's all.

Mark Berman @MarkBermanFox26

Per NBA source: Rockets signing of Bulls RFA Center Omer Asik to an offer sheet will be delayed a bit while the Rockets waive two players.

Rockets announce they have waived Jon Leuer and Jerome Jordan.

- David Aldridge via Twitter.

Damn, I thought we'd waive Simpson.
