A better answer might have been 'I'm not going to comment on that, move on.' But I wanted to be sure, so I went back and watched the event in question again. Stan certainly wasn't shy about his comments, in fact he went on for quite some time about the situation and went on to emphasize the importance of honesty and not understanding why someone would deny such a conversation had taken place. His intentions were not to throw anyone under a bus, just answered a yes or no question. I think some people need to watch the interview one more time. It's not as menacing and deceitful as some of you make it out to be.
There are different opinions about this ... but mine has been that this was like blood in the water for the media. I could see this being semi-intense distraction continuing for several days.

We do kind of have a track record.. in the minds of our previous stars, anyway..
We can openly debate on how much a star should be coddled by the franchise, but the fact is, if we don't someone else out there surely will. Orlando isn't exactly a prime destination to be taking the high road in.
We lowballed Shaq and learned from that, what exactly have we "done" to any of our previous stars?
T-Mac and the hockey guy didn't exactly get along. Dwight clearly has his own beefs (the airplane thing, etc), whether or not we as fans feel they're valid. It sucks, but Orlando does have to go the extra mile with these stars if we have any hope of keeping one. Taking the high road is never going to be an option for us. Any perceived slight and it wont be hard to see the greener grass elsewhere. Small market disadvantage.. but one we should finally embrace and just deal with.

No way Dwight can be that dumb. I hope this is photoshopped. I thought Dwight quit using twitter and only post stuff about charities.

Better than hiding in LA.
I don't hate him for it, in fact I love the guy as a coach. What I am saying is, after that round of Q&A, there was no way he could stay on as coach.
Agreed.

Yes, they're real. I talk to Magic Markee all the time on Twitter(person who D12 sent the msg). Glen Davis follows me on twitter & we have DM'd before. Nothing I'd share on Realgm though.

The Brooklyn Nets, along with any other franchise with a chance in hell of Dwight staying, thanks you kindly.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt.XXXIX Off-Season Edition
Is it just me or am I wrong to think that these DMs can do more harm than good by being leaked? I'm just thinking how this could screw up our potential deal with Houston. And I won't be surprised if this spreads like a fire and end up on tv, lol.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt.XXXIX Off-Season Edition
Y'know........Dwight does have a point. We have lost, what, going on our 4th superstar in 20~ years? All of them leaving on bad terms?
At what point do we stop pointing the finger?
This isn't normal. Normally when players leave a franchise, there isn't always such venom involved.
Seriously, think about it........It really says something that we don't have 1 player's jersey retired. We have to be one of the few teams that don't in the league.
