WTF.

Wait so you don't think JR could have gotten more than 2.8 mill? Gimme a break.

If Lin wanted to be back here he could have worked something out with the Knicks over 4 years or something instead of 15 mill in a third year... He could have worked with the Knicks in some way. He didn't. He got his money and let the Knicks do w/e the hell they want. Doesn't sound like a guy who cares one way or the other.. but that's just me, KG.

They didn't lose... they chose to pay that tax for a losing product. Why not choose to pay now for a winner?

you do realize that $46M would be higher with the new CBA rules on the luxury tax?

They still wouldn't be losing any money...

Nope. Morey received two second round picks and cash. He was compensated for a 38yrs old player he had no intention to resign. Pretty good deal for him.

It doesn't make sense to let an asset like Lin walk away for nothing. But if you have Kidd and Felton I guess the writing is on the wall.

For all of the complaints about Stephen A. Smith, is there anyone who doesn't believe him when he says he knows something? Not thinks something. Knows.

Am I the only one who thinks we can still be a team with home court advantage in the playoffs even if Lin doesn't sign?

If Knicks don't match I think its not about luxury taxes and chit like that....I think Dolan feels betrayed about Lin accepting that second offer.

I was in a bar on a date Saturday night, and I saw "Knicks acquire felton, Lin in doubt" or something on the screen, and I was like "w..t...f..."

I see both you guys are caught up in Linsanity... If your boy was soooo impactful how come Iman was named All-Rookie yet Lin wasn't?

WE TOLD HIM TO. WE SAID WE'RE NOT GOING TO "BID AGAINST OURSELVES". GO SET YOUR MARKET VALUE. JESUS H. CHRIST. STOP TRYING TO SCAPEGOAT AND BLAME LIN.

We took every measure to fck ourselves. It sounds more and more like the Knicks don't and never really wanted Lin back. And I don't get it.

dude he set his market with the first agreement (3 years 19 million with a 9 million dollar team option).

he then felt the need to accept more...fair enough he has every right to do that, but he then risk the chance of the knicks matching.

he made his bed

I think the future looks better with Lin, but we clear so much cap space in 3 years that we can restart and rebuild there (and we'll finally be looking at draft picks again too)...so my thinking is, with Lin the future looks great. Without Lin, the future is more uncertain but there's still a lot to look up to.

I think it's we want our guy, Lin was ours unlike Melo and Amare, We found him and gave us fans hope of a bright future and to just have it taken away hurts.

I completely feel you. I hated seeing Gallo and Wilson Chandler go. I hate to see Lin go as well, I think he makes us a better team right now with or without Felton. What I can't stand is that people have turned this into an unprecedented disaster. It's really not THAT bad. It's painful if he goes for sure, but it's not the end of the world.

What did he say he knows?

And no, I don't believe him. He got lucky with the LeBron story.

It's possible, but if Lin turns out to be a good player we can be the 2nd best team in the east with a chance of beating Mia. He's that wildcard that you have to take a chance on if you want to win a championship. He's a risk, but it can payoff.

Another sign that this is based on personal animosity. I'm calling it now in the end we'll have enough evidence to conclude that this was Melo being a douche.

Fixed.

Sorry, had to.
