My gut. It doesn't make sense to let valuable property walk out the door. cooler heads will prevail.

On the bright side: we'll always have Linsanity to remember. It was a hell of a ride.

I harassed Anucha Browne Sanders and lost the lawsuit, Dolan had to pay $11 million in damages and he still wasn't mad at me and didn't feel betrayed. He even asked my successor to thank me for Amare while I had nothing to do with this acquisition and he tried to rehire me before the league vetoed it ! Gotta love Jimmy Dolan. $200 million wasted in crappy players like Curry, Marbury, Jeffries, Francis, Jalen Rose, Malik Rose, Mo Taylor and so on, $11 million in damages and I'm still his friend and someone he trusts !

 I get what you saying but what Jeremy did was sheisty IMO. I would match just to trade him for something that helps the team get better for this "win now" mentality.

Well you did say he played better than Shump & Melo, if that's the case some sort of accomplishment would have to show for it. :dontknow:

Playing better than Anthony could be up for debate I guess - I think he did - but are you really questioning whether he played better than Shumpert?

Check my edit & is it not up for debate on whether Shump played better or not?

I guess. Your memories can't be erased.

Bad day in NY sports history but it's just sports. Maybe I take it too seriously? Probably so.

Apologies everybody.

So are the Knicks waiting the 3 full days so they can release a statement about they tried and were conflicted but in the end couldn't just make it work. PR spin I'm sure.

Wow KnicksGod.

You managed to bring the whole board down on you in a heartbeat. The appropriate thing to do at this point is to apologize and take a break from the board man. Back away man.

lol@ dave "king troll" rothenberg saying one thing thinking billy king's comments from yesterday would support his, and it ends up contradicting his comment before he heard billy king's.

James Dolan and company need to resign Jeremy Lin, he has the money to do it and the investment alone should get much of that back in terms of the Asian community in and out of the United States i.e. merchandise and television ratings/revenue etc..... plus the guy has talent and is only 24. Would be a mistake to lose him for nothing, at the very least he may be a good trade chip in the future. Hopefully Dolan wises up and commits to lin before it's too late.

You were watching the Bulls training camp on TV and saw Eddy Curry eating burgers during morning practice ?

I don't think it should be...Lin was a true impact player last year. Shumpert was good, but not on the same level.

All this Lin-stuff is driving me crazy. Why is everyone talking about him like he's the second coming of Jordon. Grunnie is getting treated like the GM who broke up the Bulls dynasty. Did we get SO caught up in the Disney movie/Lin story, that we forgot that he's an unproven player who started only 26 games?????

I know it's basketball. But, believe it or not, the Front Office is actually running a business. And going with Felton/Kidd is a sound business decision.. ..period.

Felton already proved to us that he brings that bulldog mentality to the floor every night. And you can talk about his weight and how he usually uses training camp to get in shape. But we already know Woodie is not gonna let that happen. He's been hands-on with the players the entire summer.

I've been a Knick fan since the mid 90s. And have never missed a game. even thru the bad years. Why? Cause I'm a "Knicks" fan. If you're a "Lin" fan, then I'm sure you can continue to follow him wherever he plays.

I bet if Isiah told Dolan to re-sign Lin he would do it in a heartbeat.

Time will tell... I've seen teams lose fans before. Not saying it's going to happen but it has... you have 2 teams that were right there in NYC lose two separate groups of fan bases over time.
