I'm absolutely certain I'm far more intelligent than you are. In fact, I have no doubt I was more intelligent at age 10 than you are now.

Another magnificent post from an amazing poster that will surely be dearly missed once he/she is gone.

Yeah, your post was a real winner too.

What if the Knicks offered Lin a front loaded contract, with him making 14.5 million for this year (or as much as we can), then 5m and 5m. This way, the new CBA luxury taxes don't effect us because we wouldn't be as much over the cap.

Show me a player that doesn't try to get his biggest payday?

Utter nonsense.

KG we invited Felton to our 4th of July bbq. Told him we want him. He blabbed he was coming here.

We refuse to negotiate with Lin. Tell him to set market price. Leak that we'll match anything. He gets exactly the offer expected; we have a change of heart.

Connect the dots. We were looking for any reason to not re-sign Lin, and Felton was, after Nash, our guy the whole time.

Absolutely not true... Kidd was going to sign with Dallas in that day!! ;) Felton was in the radar as the back-up of Lin after Nash and Kidd said that they wont come here... more-over many fans were mad and upset that we went from Nash to Fatty... After Kidd changed his mind, Felton was not mentioned nor pursuited till Saturday when we heard about Houston poisenous contract that will force the Knicks to pay 43M in the final year if they match!

Please dont write conspiracy bull-shitts here without any valid argument!!

Most we can offer year one is MLE (5.2).

I'll apologize again. But I didn't mean anything by it so please let it go. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I get it now. Your father is Jimmy Dolan and you can no longer see him because you're against the direction of the team ? Jimmy told you when you stop rooting for the Knicks you will no longer be tolerated at the mansion ungrateful child !

Can't do that under the Gilbert Arenas rule. That's why this new CBA is screwed up because it allows these backloaded poison pills. NFL CBA prevented poison pill contracts but the NBA's didn't.

Yes, typically teams take all three days with RFA offer sheets. There's no point in them to rush as much as we would like it.

If Dolan actually cared about the team and money, why would Isiah still be around? He cares more about his personal relationships than ANYTHING ELSE. As long as he is butthurt, Lin is gone, and our franchise is screwed.

Dolan really only needs to see the stock go down (more) before he makes his decision.
