“@daldridgetnt: Hearing Jamison is less likely w/Nets unless, somehow, negotiations w/Humphries collapse. Per @rick_bonnell, Lakers, Bobcats also finalists.”

Bonnell was on the radio. Said he is actively texting with Jamison, who is overseas on vacation now. Said Jamison told him it is the Nets, Lakers, and Bobcats as the final three. I'll josh Bonnell as much as the next guy, but I trust his assessment over some other national reporter who may be hearing from third parties. Bonnell's hearing it straight from the guy.

Another interesting note is that Bonnell said the Bobcats HAVE contacted Landry and the two sides are in contact. Still appears Jamison is their first option, but Landry would be their clear second choice.

Personally, I would rather Landry to Jamison.

Bonnell also said he thought there was a good chance Diop is amnestied tomorrow and that there is next to NO chance Thomas is amnestied THIS year. Personally, I say we might as well just keep Diop and save the amnesty in the event that we need to use it on Thomas.

Just saw that. If this means we get Landry, I'll be happy. That's a long way out there in LA for Jamison to be away from his kids here in Charlotte. Oh well.

Landry, bring it in!

“@daldridgetnt: Source confirms "strong interest" by Jamison in Lakers, says deal not done. Charlotte Observer says Jamison "will" be a Laker, per source.”

BTW, I will also point out something Bonnell pointed out. The Bobcats had interest in Landry way back when he was with Houston and they offered him an offer while he was a restricted free agent. Obviously the big negative is that he has yet to play an entire season in his 7 season career. Still though, for cheap, he would be a hell of an addition. Still 28 as well. Much better than the 36 year old Jamison.

I still think we hold on to amnesty until midseason and if Tyrus still sucks ass, then use it on him. No need to waste it now.
