Now, this is going off of quite an assumption here, as things like this can easily be photoshopped or forged, but thus far no one is denying the validity of them. But if they are true, one has to wonder how greatly Dwight Howard just dropped his market value to teams like the Rockets who are interested in trading for his services.
The photos are large, so I'll place them after the jump.

Sources tell Local 6 Sports Director David Pingalore that Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has asked his representation to keep his father out of trade talks.
It's believed Howard's father played a major role in Howard signing a contract extension with the Magic in March.
Howard has already asked the Magic to trade him, preferably to the Brooklyn Nets. Trade talks reportedly broke down last week.
On Friday, Local 6 reported that Howard would likely end up with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Sources told Pingalore it has been weeks since Howard and his father have spoken.
Meantime, GM Rob Hennigan and his staff are on their way to Las Vegas, where the NBA is holding summer league games.
It's unclear what the trip will involved.
Rockets??!!

This is a huge mess. How can we trade someone who can't run? Like the article says, he'll never clear medical requirements of the trade. I don't think it's even possible Hennigan and the Magic are so dumb that they never asked the doctor how Dwight's back is. If they hadn't, Henny said it was fine last week in an interview. If that's true, and he is in active trade talks, is he trying to get teams to waive the medical check and just assume Howard is fine?

i don't think the VC trade/ matching JJ and Gortat were the result of any demand from Dwight, they were done so from the demand of common sense, considering we'd just come off a finals run and if Otis had let the team fall apart it would have been inexcusable.
the Arenas trade was probably a result of a demand from Dwight, but that doesn't mean you draw the line there. Otis shouldn't need Dwight going to him, telling him the team's not working and that we need to make changes and improvements. the fact that Otis held steadfast with his roster last season was enough indication that he thought he'd put together a winner. i don't understand how anybody could defend that, or pretend we did enough last season to try and suggest we made changes.
You cant possibly believe that we didn't try to make changes last season.
Our superstar had asked for them, and we knew that if there was ever a time to make them, it was then. Of course we tried, the reality is we couldn't get anything done, just didn't have the assets. It takes two teams to make a trade. If you honestly think the Magic purposefully didn't try to make any trades you just aren't thinking logically.

Thinking realistically, does anyone really think that any team, including Houston, would agree to a trade without even knowing that Dwight can't even run yet? There is just no situation that I could reasonably imagine where a team would forgo a medical evaluation on a player who is recovering from a serious back injury prior to agreeing to a trade. I can't even see any team getting into any type of negotiation without looking into this first. I'm not saying that it's untrue that he can't run yet, I'm just guessing that any team interested in trading for him probably already knows he can't run yet. So I just don't see this as a big deal to anyone except people like us who are not involved in the actual talks.
