I think there preparing for a rough year. I really doubt they make the playoffs and if they do they'll be 8th (considering their without Rose for almost the whole season)

Didn't the kid who reported that Felton was at the BBQ say that Dolan wasn't actually at the event?

Any news from JR Smith? He is about due for another dumb ass tweet.

that's going to come after.

I truly think we bring him back. Stock already went down 60 cents (I think) today -- ~50 million dollars down the drain. Dolan may be stupid, but I don't think he's completely an incompetent boob. You can only bleed money before you decide to do something...especially considering how much money he made from Lin.

Let's think like Wall St. New Yorkers ...

If ANYONE knows for certain what they'll do, they could make a killing by buying now, and having the Knicks match the deal, or short the hell out of it, if they know they won't.

Giving the Knicks a lesson in how to avoid the tax without killing your team's chances of contending.

I'm still optimistic the Knicks will re-sign Lin. All these rumors are fake hustling the Rockets right back into thinking they have their PG locked.

They were fighting over the rib table, then Dolan, Felton and Sisiah rolled out to smoke a spliff, and work out a deal.

It would be pretty awesome if we took both Lin and Felton, and then the Rockets were f-ed. I'm not expecting it though.

I've had a weird few days - sleep, sleep, drink water, sleep, Jeremy Lin, sleep, sleep sleep and bash Melo.

I believe they'll match Asik, but let a lot of their bench players go. So probably a little bit of both.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that Dolan will realize the uproar that this is causing and re-sign Lin.

Throughout all of this, not once have the Knicks said they weren't planning on matching. It was sources and speculation and a bunch of media-spun BS.

I really hope the Knicks brass smartens up. This would be a huge black cloud over the entire organization for years to come. Even if Lin turns out to be an average NBA point guard, this is a deal you just HAVE to make. You don't sign guys like Felton and Novak and JR to contracts and let a jewel like Lin just walk away.

It's simply incomprehensible.

These stories that people come up with -- me included -- can sometimes be off base.

We don't really know if we're not there. In fact, it's very difficult to say what's going on from a distance.

However, the thing that the Rockets fan posted -- about how Morey duped us into believing the offer was low and then we added contracts and they pumped up the offer -- it does seem to add up.

If so, how could the Knicks do that? It's like amateur hour. You have to pay attention to details and make sure things are official. Just crazy that we could lose Lin over that kind of trickery.

Missed everything in like the past 12 hours. Any more important news? What did Melo say this time?

Not to mention the Kings got Aaron Brooks so it looks like they don't have a plan B.

I haven't heard anyone blame Herb Williams latley. He is probably the one calling all the shots.

They'll get a nice pick next year and they also have one coming from Charlotte. As long as Rose recovers they'll be in better shape than us.

If Dolan were running the Bulls he would have let Asik walk and traded Gibson rather than release Brewer and Korver.
