Brazil x US (Nen

Post#1 » by padovani31 » Fri Jul 13, 2012 2:16 pm

Nene will play with the brazilian national team next Monday in DC. I saw some games of him and yesterday He helps in Brazil won against Argentina. He was listed last game as a DNP with his foot isssues, but yesterday He looked ok, sometimes Argentina calls triple team over him.

Any chance of Brizilian team against US?

Starting 5:
PG – Marcelinho Huertas (Barcelona – Spain)
SG – Alex Garcia (Brasilia- Bra – Former Spurs and NOH)
SF – marquinhos (Flmaengo-Bra – Former NOH)
PF – Anderson Varejão (Cavs)
C – Nene (Wizards)

Bench:
Tiago Spliter (Spurs)
Leandro Brabosa (Pacers)
Marcelo Machado
Larry Taylor
Guilherme Giovanoni

DNP - foot issues -- exactly what I was worried about.

This has been my main concern over the Nene trade - whether he can stay healthy throughout his contract. I know everyone deserves the right to represent for their country, but I think he should just rest before the foot injury becomes more serious. His NBA career is more important.

Yeah heard Buckhantz mention this during the Summer League game. Nene & Brazil vs Team USA at Verizon Center, man I hadn't heard about that, I'd like to check that out!

Nene looks good. Stopped a Lebron drive then forced KD to air ball a jump shot.

Espn2. Only caught a part of the game but Nene looked quick and mobile on the defensive end. No signs of any foot issues although I missed the first half..

Nene looked pretty good on defensive end. As the starting sf of Brazil was DNP, most part of time Nene guard Durant and Melo. Carmelo: 1-7 FG / FG Durant: 5-13 FG. ON offense Brazil did not work in the paint, so Nene was 3/7 FG, but probably in Olimpics he´ll be more agressive.

Actually today Nene did not have problems with his foot, despite he missed some friendly matches in Brazil last couple of weeks.

As brazilian i think we can win US on Olimpics with MArquinhos guarding James most part of the game.

Nene looked fine... if he has a foot issue, it wasn't there today. He had a couple good moves with his feet and looked explosive on his one finish where faked and got Kobe up in the air with a dunk.

+1

To me the story is the US team is no Dream Team. They might come back with a silver or worse because they have no inside team. I didn't see Davis, but I think they could have used a burly, nasty guy off the bench behind Chandler. Cousins IMO might be a better fit than Harden on this team.
