Done with NYK if Lin is not matched ?

Post#442 » by KnicksFan7 » Tue Jul 17, 2012 2:40 am

Oh please. I can say that you leaving the Knick fan base is ridiculous, and it's considered taunting.

But you calling people out on education. Calling them rednecks, morons, and knuckle draggers isn't taunting?

Give it a rest Clyde. You're doing exactly what you're accusing everyone else of doing. However, you mask it by putting it in a 10 paragraph post like your some sort of scholar writing a thesis so it looks like your the victim. When in reality its just a mask for you to call people who disagree with you idiots.

That's where you're wrong, as this thread on starting PG salaries demonstrates. An average of 8 mil a year is more or less market value for a good starter. Mike Conley makes 9 mil a year, so if Jeremy Lin just exceeds his baseline, that will be an undervalued contract.

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1196163

Oh yeah, the luxury tax. I don't give a **** because it has ZERO bearing on the cap situation. 30 mil to a guy who has 2.6 billion is chump change.

Am I wrong about the opt in? I haven't had the time to sift through this board to figure out what actually happened.

The 15 million opt in for year 4 (which was reported initially) is a HUGE risk for the franchise. The 30 mil over 3 is just a slightly higher deal than the one from before and ought to have been matched. .

It's a TEAM option. Get a clue.

The reason why Houston offered this deal was because Goran Dragic insisted on a PLAYER option in the 4th year.

This organization has been a JOKE damn near the last 20 years .
I can choose when to and when not to financially and or emotionally support this team .

Wow, this is pathetic. Really? Good riddance Lin fans. And for the record, I like Jeremy Lin, but the blue and orange is deeper than that.

What is completely revealing is you never see those who say they may be fed up if Lin is not signed attack those who say their support of the team would not be affected. It is a clear dividing line.

Those who attack others and behave like disrespectful rednecks whose machismo is threatened by those who don't drink the same kool-aid are the only ones flaming the board. You don't see the others flaming them.

Very revealing about what makes some of you tick.

EXACTLY !

And to me its not all about Lin .
Its more about this organization , they way they handle themselves , and the horrible moves they make year in year out .

I dont think Lin is an all star / superstar but hes young , has the chance to improve and can be an asset down the road .
Unfortunately we never keep our younger players in favor of old washed up has beens .

I think if Lin isn't matched a lot of the longtime more thinking fans will be gone from this board and it will be intolerable on here for anyone with a brain.

Yes. I must suck because I'm arguing my position. Which is what an attorney is supposed to do. I'm arguing that the NYK is deeper than a player. I'm arguing that it's ridiculous to jump ship over one guy.

But yes I suck.

You might as well rename the Knicks board "House of Melo" after the good posters all leave.
