Is it bad I was rooting for Brazil to win?

Not at all. Only a friendly exhibition anyways.

Besides when taking a step back, you realize Its just olympic basketball.. Not a world war..
You don't have to root for USA or be 100% pro USA all the time.. There are some great teams out there and its just fun seeing some great basketball!
Basketball truly has come a long way the past 2 decades around the globe! We are in a golden era in terms of talent/ball!
Whether you root for USA, GB, Spain or Tunisia enjoy it!!

Just had to post about how I used to play with Nigeria's Richard Oruche. The dude didn't play much (or at all) in the qualifiers but it's still badass to think I used to ball with an Olympian.

Lack of bigs is a concern for me, especially after todays game. Teams like Spain will give us a scare and wouldnt shock me if we lose to them. Also a little to happy with the threes we are taking, need to take and drive much more in a half court set. Just worried what may happen if those threes dont fall like we want.

I always liked Huertas.. Dunno why he hasn't tried the NBA.

And as it will become customary ragging Kirk during the season.. just gonna sneak it in..

Quite positive he'd be a better PG than Kirk Hinrich.

It's amazing how much better we got after signing this argentinian coach, if everything works out for us, maybe we can aim the bronze medal.
Never really expected us to beat the USA, even after the first quarter.

Ruben Magnano coach of Brazil now is the legend who led Argentina to GOLD in 2004!
Also was coach of first team ever to beat NBA player led US team during 2002 World Championsips in Indianapolis!
You guys got a good one for sure!
Medalling is definitely on the table for you guys!!

Let´s hope so. God, did we suck for a long time... probably since Oscar Schmidt retired.

Come to the Brazilian side. We have churrasco (our barbecue), caipirinhas and great beaches.
Also large scale corruption and high crime rates, but let´s not go there

Oh, and for all of you who noticed, yes, Huertas is better than Kirk.
I´m not quite sure if he always was (I don´t really follow european or brazilian basketball that closely), but for quite some time he has been.
Apart from not knowing his present contract situation, I´m pretty sure he´d be more expensive than Hinrich. And, you know, if we spend another dollar, uncle Jerry´s Christmas bonus might actually drop from the 10 digit area, so he´d be a no-no to us...

I guess it's true that people don't miss anybody till they're gone. Ever since Rose has went down I've had to hear people like Coherd, and Skip Bayless give props to D-Rose when all career long he would get bashed for being a scoring PG.

All everyone talks about when comparing the Dreamteam and the 2012 team is that.............. D-Rose is not there. They talk about the missing bigs but when they talk about the guards they always bring up Wade (boo) and Rose.

Feels kinda good even though it's a little too late. I bet Williams and Paul and Westbrook just shake their head because whenever you mention D-Rose that means they no that one of them is there because Rose is hurt.........

Can't wait for the 2016 Olympics so Rose can get his Gold medal.
NBA Playoffs.... I can never wait!

I said it before this game, Brazil might just be the biggest threat to the US this summer.

Brazil is something to watch out for also I think other teams could be a threat for the US is Spain, and I was going to say Argentina to some degree.

Yesterday game, and even their first game their lot of mistakes they need to correct:

1.) Settling to many jumpers, they need to start attacking
2.) Better ball movement, and off the ball movement
3.) Need to stop relying on gambling, disrupting the offense because that could come back to hunt them. Need to do a better job relying on putting more pressure, get stops, and rebound.

I think those are the three the most need to be correct.

I don't think this years USA team is close to the 1992 Dream Team, although it must be said, the opposition now is way way stronger than it was back then.

That and perhaps overall athleticism is about all this years team has going for them in the 1992 vs 2012 argument though.

I think we (Brazil) lack defense on our backcourt, and even though our front court kinda compensates for that, if you keep your guards moving off the ball, you´ll end up with quality perimeter shots or post ups with great size advantages, where LeBron and Kobe would absolutely kill us.

Larry Taylor couldn't have done a worse job with the ball handling duties yesterday. The 19 year old Raul Neto was better against full court pressure.

Serge and Scola going at it in this Spain vs Argentina friendly. They near enough fighting. Pretty aggressive stuff for a friendly game.
