OK we get it, he has weight issues. Can we leave this dude alone? WTF did he do to you but help Amar'e look like an MVP?

Unfollowed Jared Dubin a long time ago. He provides zero intelligent insight, is constantly pessimistic, buys into the general narrative of his TrueHoop buddies to fit in, and is flatly lame.

Nah.. but he needed to say something like this:

More Melo on #Lin: "I hope we get it done, man. I would love to see him back, honestly. I would definitely love to see him back."

He should've said it from the beginning... but now after the fact I'm supposed to give him credit for it? FOH

He's a 9 year vet.. act like it. Jalen Rose said the same exact thing. "No comment" Melo... the next time someone asks you about another players contract.

Now I'm not of the thinking Melo didn't want Lin in NY like the other posters... I've just spoke on the ridiculous comment.

"Uhm, I'd love to have Lin back"...after all the media backlash. It just sounds disingenuous at this point, even if you mean it.

Even if he was lying, him merely saying this stuff forces someone to fall on the sword. Because if every party Lin, Melo, and Dolan want this to happen, then why isn't it? Puts the organization in a tight spot if it's still planning on not matching. Good news from every angle--including the empty ass-saving rhetoric one.

He has surpassed DocZaius as troll of the board. The main difference being he is actually funny.

I think he said that he wanted Lin back but he then went on to talk about the ridiculous contract. He should have just not talked about the contract. Really, it's not that hard.

Rod Boone ‏@rodboone
Melo was asked after tonight's game about his characterization of Lin's contract as being "ridiculous." Here's his answer in next tweet.

Rod Boone ‏@rodboone
Melo: "It was ridiculous for them to do what they did, as far as throwing that out there and making it tougher on us to sign him back."

Melo is back tracking but he's a marked man now. The tabloids are going to blast him if he struggles to begin the season and or Lin plays well in Houston..

I'm glad other NBA personnel are calling Melo out on his comments, you don't disrespect your teammate's financial situation period.

Yeah maybe... but now all the pressure is on Dolan. He can't count on the media making Melo the scapegoat.
