Tell me how it makes sense for a team trying to win the title this year to trade for a guy who can't run at this point?

January 20 2012

Pau Gasol: 13 pts 10 rebs
Andrew Bynum: 10 pts 12 rebs

Dwight Howard: 21 pts 23 rebs

Howard = Bynum + Gasol

I think Dolan comes in and orders the match.

Why in the world would they sign Kidd and trade for Felton if they plan to match on Lin? They will have a ton of cap space locked up in 3 decent point guards.

What happened when Lin got hurt last year? The Knicks were derailed. Kidd is in no condition to be a starter. Felton is getting paid like a backup. Nothing more. They still need Lin as much as they did before they got Felton. C'mon now. People act like Felton resolves thier needs at PG. Why?

What would be perfect is if we traded for Bynum & Gasol and then Henny did OKC a favor and did the following trade. That would shift it back in the favor of OKC, IMO.

All the wait... We must avoid dealing with the Lakers and choose Houston as our top partner.

If we get to deal with the Lakers, We must receive Bynum/Gasol, otherwise we would get Bynum/MWP - that make me sick.

I agree, OMB.

Are you basing that solely off of a fake DM?

Because Dwight is and always will be a better player?

I agree they should bring back Lin, but if they do then the Felton trade makes zero sense. Lin is being paid like a star, Kidd is being paid like a starter to back him up, and Felton is being paid like a backup to ride the pine. All 3 would be overpaid in this scenario.

Because he does not need to run until November. Heck even if he did not comeback until December they are a much better team with Howard than Bynum.

Bynum nevers runs up the court either. He jogs awkwardly while you just wait for him to fall down grabbing his knee. Howard is and will always be better than Bynum. If Bynum was on Howard's level the Lakers would be in the finals the last two years, possibly winning. lets not undersestimate Howard since he wants out. He is a top 3 player in the NBA and a possible MVP.

The good thing for the Knicks matching is that it gives them a future trade chip, with them being over the cap it helps to keep the players ytou have with the bird rights, just like Otis did with Gortat, that was a good move at the time he just really fu*ked it up with the phoenix trade. One of Lin/Kidd/Felton can be moved later for somthing of value, most likely Felton if he can regain a little bit of game

Yes Howard has reportedly not been able to meet with the Lakers because he is stuck at the OB/GYN due to having a severe Vaginal Infection after getting so pissy about wanting to be a Brooklyn Net.

What difference does houston or LA make for us? we'd still have to get through the Heat, and we are not going to contend for quite a few seasons.
