Houston Gets a big man under contract and keeps their own future picks as well as Dallas's. They keep 2 of their 3, 2012 picks and can go in to the summer and get a good free agent to play next to Gasol.

LA gets their man and depth

Magic get Bynum who might or might not resign and worst case scenario if he walks they have Lamb, Parsons and a pick to show for Howard.

Houston can't complain because they are not giving up much at all to get Gasol.

It pains me to say it but I don't see any team we can construct beating what Miami has put together. Now if we trade dwight to the lakers we are screwed for at least 3-4 years until kobe retires.

It seems like no matter what we do we will not get near a championship for at least 4-5 years. Lets go full blown tank and pray to land the next superstar.

What difference does it make whether we build contenders for other teams for the 3-4 years. We're not in that class of team as soon as we trade D12. We have to build for the future. In 4-5 years, then we'll have our time again, once the era of the Big 3 declines.

Houston beat writer told me he isn't signed and multiple people here saying RealGM is wrong. No evidence he's signed anywhere else.

if i'm Henny... and I've tried every possible scenario over the past month with every team in the NBA trying to movie Dwight... I've got to take a shot at a deal that...

Obviously there were need to be numerous other players involved and the Lakers would want more compensation. But if i could land Bynum and Lamb, I'd be doing everything under the sun to make it happen. That's a major rebuilding leap in one big swoop.

You guys are insane if you don't think LA would give up Bynum/Gasol for Howard in about 2 seconds if they could get him to commit long term. Especially now after getting crushed the last two playoffs. They would have done that trade last year.

If Howard ends up in LA we can just adopt them as our big brother team and rejoice at the role we played in stifling Miami in that way.

So Fran decided not to come to the NBA... again? I'm shocked!
I've been warning those in denial for years on here and elsewhere that he does not care to challenge himself by vaulting to the next level - even though it's been there for the taking. He cares way more about being around family, friends, people who speak his language, his culture, familiar location, etc. There's nothing wrong with that, but I'm just saying it's been obvious for quite some time. I'm glad he didn't come this year because he's not even that good in his last prime years and his heart obviously would not have been in it. At least it's over now... no way anybody wants this fool here after his next contract.

I dont think LA would trade Gasol+Bynum for D12 and all of these bad contracts.
