I know you guys are freaking and I would be too. But this is the BEST move right now for the team to be successfull right away.

Melo needs to create on his own, he is a superstar. Felton and Kidd help him. Lin would compliment him less+crazy contract, and I aint surprised.

You guys will be 4-6 seed next year so don't be freaking out.

If Dolan doesnt take the podium and say it himself, he's a coward.

Nash was the only PG that would have. After that disappointment, this is whatever.

They stopped supporting Yi when it turned out he really sucks, same thing will happen with Lin.

so Lin's going to really suck like Yi?

The whole Lin scenario is just typical for the Knick fans, nothing is ever easy, and this decision to keep him or let him go isn't easy as well, there are arguments to made on both sides, as a long suffering knick fan what stinks is that we have to be in this situation. Lin did bring the most excitment to msg since the late 90's but by having Lin burst onto the scene also put him in this situation to be able to get this offer from Houston. Everything with the Knicks is unfair, and regardless of what decision we make whether it's right or wrong, one thing for sure is the decision we make will turn out to be the wrong one, that's life as a knick fan. If we signed Lin I'm sure he'd be a bust, or get hurt, and by letting him go to Houston he will probably turn out to be a stud..

Might as well not be in the playoffs. I don't want mediocrity.

You guys sound like all the whiny Mets fans who bitched and moaned about Reyes leaving. Turns out he's pretty mediocre too and severely overpaid.

Lin during Linsanity had the 2nd highest PER in the league behind Lebron. and had a top 5 winshare.

Bottom line here:

If the Knicks even THINK that they can win with Melo-Felton-JR-Amar'e-Old Bench, then they are such a bad front office that it's better to find out now.

This is finding your woman in bed with another man. It's horrible to go through it but at least you know what you're dealing with. No reason to stay in that relationship anymore.

To each his own though -- I know a lot of you will soldier on and I commend you for it.

Look we'll be alright. Even without Lin we have a team that should make noise in the East. Once the ball gets rolling and STAT hopefully gets back to his proper form this will sting much less....and when you see Lin putting up average numbers going against the top PG's in the west you guys will come back down to reality fast.

Quoting Stephen A. Smith, huh?

Nobody ever even suggested that Lin was comparable to CP3.

Hes not cp3 but could have been used to trade for cp3. Now we dont have any assets to trade. The rockets will sell out everygame. Thats called value
