Lin: Restructure his Houston offer to get more money and risk getting ousted of NY --- SAVIOR!

JR Smith: Took as little money as reasonably possible to stay with the team --- SCUMBAG

Polar opposites lol

No, he didn't. He actually opted out of his contract to get an extra 300k. This was after shopping around for a better deal. Nobody was offering him anything since he has proven to be a cancer, a headcase, and altogether negative sum player over the course of his career.

On top of that, he went to the media and aired Lin out, compromising our locker room and hindering out ability to field the strongest team possible (which includes Lin), for a simple reason: Lin comes back, JR's bird rights become meaningless.

But hey that JR guys a saint. Wait until next year when he bleeds the team dry and makes Dolan pay 20 million in taxes...but but JR took a paycut!

Never said JR was a saint. I'm just pointing out a double standard.

Even before free agency I remember JR and his dad saying that he wanted to remain a Knick and money was no object.

WTF does this mean? Did JR actually graduate from high school?

I think he's saying that Lin was not loyal.

Knicks really only have 1 pg now, Felton. The Argentian is 35, who knows if he will even get a chance. And kidd is a depressed drunk 40 year old, not exactly pg material. Felton \ Lin would have made perfect sense.

I'd rather pray to Satan then.

How much did Lin really want to stay in NY if renogiated his contract with Houston? From what I heard, he hired a new publicist and they're making it sound like he doesn't want to leave.

I think Lin wanted out all along, or he wouldn't have signed the new offer sheet. I'm convinced he doesn't want to be a Knick. He wants to partner up with Yao Ming.

I don't think many people realise we've just let go of the most popular player in the NBA...

 at JR Smith preaching loyalty. The man refused to practice for his team in China, played less than half a year for the Knicks and loved every second of the NY nightlife (it got him Joe Budden's ex and Rihanna after all), and now claims he's back because he loves the Knicks?

This is his last chance in the league, the man is a loser to the core and he can't even control himself on twitter. Clown.

Agreed.

Lin is the snake in the grass going back behind the Knicks' backs. He never wanted to wear the Knicks uniform.

Ugh. The Knicks told Jeremy to go out in the free market and get and offer and then come back to them.
