Omg after Lin is signed, the Rockets have to cut a player than wait 48 hours to sign Asik, this will never end!!

I agree with you, it must be a 3-way deal.

Maybe with Grizzlies for Deng, or with the Rockets for KMart+something...

Yup, and then 3 days after that, so deadline will be Sunday or Monday for Asik.

You do if it's only going to cost you Hedo + JRich + BBD. If you can consolidate their contracts and get an Allstar big man in return then you do it.

That said, the Lakers aren't giving Gasol up. They're better with Bynum and Gasol than they are with just Howard. So they'd just refuse to make a deal if it came to that.

i don't think any of the Bynum supporters are denying the risks. It's that we think it's worth it.
You got a 1/30 chance at a championship.
You have to take a few risks to get to there.

Remember when everyone thought taking Dwight over Emeka was a risk?

Exactly where I am. If we think we can convince Bynum to extend or re-up, I say grab him and retool.

No which is why anyone who prefers Bynum over Hou's youth need to realize this. Even if we get one of Josh Smith or Monta Ellis, it wouldn't be enough

The Orlando Magic have struggled on the wing for quite some time and with incumbent starters Jason Richardson and Hedo Turkoglu coming off terrible seasons, they may need that upgrade more than ever.

Depends on who we surround them with. Two players can't win a championship.

If we are able to clear cap and continue making solid draft choices - then yes a team with the skeleton of Jameer/Bynum/FA wing player/Nicholson/More Henny draft choices can contend for a championship.

Why would anyone out there want a smart seven footer that averaged 17 and 10 last year?

Everyone talks about Houston not having an interest, which I think is false. I suspect they would be happy to scoop him up for one of their draftees and a draft pick, no problem. He'd be a perfect fit next to Lin.
