Lowest career playoff win %.

Not jabs, people stating facts. Stop pretending Melo is some perfect player and act like he doesn't need the most talent possible around him to win. He's not Lebron james where you can stick 4 scrubs on his team make the finals.

So what's the alternative? Blow the whole thing up and start over yet again?

Any new reports on Twitter?

I still don't understand why not just announce we're not matching already, if we really aren't? What's the wait?

Something tells me Knicks brass is still thinking things over.

stevieg987 wrote:Not even close. Felton went off the rails if you remember -- even playing in the ultimate D'Antoni wet dream (stat and 3 athletic slashers shooting 3's at close to 40%) with a absurd green light (that he abused). Yet towards the end he reverted back to the player he had been his entire career: a bottom tier PG. Which he proved so forcefully in Denver, Portland, and Charlotte. We know the player he is, and it frankly, isn't getting it done. Using a month and a half sample size in a completely different offensive scheme (very similar to portlands, though) and ignoring the history of absolute mediocrity that preceded it, and trash that followed it, run would be unwise.

Lin was 10x the impact player under D'Antoni during his first run of starts in the league, and even under Woodson, he performed at a higher level than Felton ever has outside that month and a half run in NY.

Factor in we're paying Felton, whose thick body type lacks durability, until he's thirty two, while Lin will be be entering his prime, and well, you have one of the worst personnel decision in Knicks history.

No reports, but a hail mary hope is that the Knicks are waiting for the Lakers to trade for Dwight directly, taking Rockets out of Dwight cotention, and then the Knicks match, and get their revenge for the contract.

He's not lebron and he's not Kobe, the more good players you surround him with the better chance we have in competing ...

I don't understand why people can't understand that?

Agree with the general sentiment but...kobe and lebron only won with stacked teams too.

Even Kobe failed to make the playoffs without a stacked team.

I know it's for the best, but I am really really disappointed. It's like breaking up with pretty girl that you know is not good for you, but you gotta do it anyways. Best for both people. Still really disappointed though.

I don't want to watch Rocket games, but I am sure I will now that Lin is on their team, just as I am sure I'll watch a few Raptors games for Fields....really really disappointed.

**** you Dolan.

Jeez. take off the myopic glasses. Here are some numbers, ya know facts for your delusions:

1) Feb: Lin 21ppg, 4 reb, 8.4 assists on 47% shooting and 33% 3 pt fg

2) mar: Lin 15ppg, 3 rebs, 6.3 assists on 41% shooting and 33 3pt %

What that would say to any non-idiotic, non-hater is that he he continued to play well despite playing an incredible number of minutes and being driven to utter exhaustion.

And understand this: his truly great month was no normal hot streak. It was at a level that is extremely rare, and something that almost always indicates very good things about a player's career. Fivethirtyeight did a piece on "players who had a run equal to Lin's at any point in their career" and it's almost all players who had excellent careers, including a lot of all stars and hall of famers. But I'm the myopic, delusional one here of course.

difference was marbs didn't have half the team around him, melos got.

what team? zombie stat or bibby? o you must mean chandler.

douglas, fields, zombie stat and chandler is what melo had to work with early in the year when the knicks struggled. shump was the only quality guard on the roster and even he is an offensively limited rookie.

it always bothers me when people act as if this team was stacked and melo failed or something. stat was a zombie most of the year, we had no pg despite having dantoni as coach  we had no training camp or set plays. injuries, stat's brother died, etc etc.

but yea you're right, melo was surrounded with beastly talents... if only he would pass the ball :-?

Why would you bring up such lies. Kobe has 5 chips, he's a great teammate, not a cancer & isn't anything close to a douchebag.

Melo is & he sucks....he sucks bad.

Quite the opposite. I said Lin was a scrub but he should get minutes over TD and Bibby because he was still better then them. And that was before anyone though he was good sooooo STFU
