That's 10.

Melo better then D-Will & Love. Oh, Kyrie too. Can make a strong case for Durant as well

You can't make any case, at all. Literally their is no qualitative or quantitative, statistic or accolade, team or individual success, that Melo has over Durant. Not a single stat.

Novak was just as important as lin shooting 47% from 3 and he still sux cause he signed for 4 mil a year

Novak was great...and it's still a damn shame that we're shelling out big $ for him and letting Lin walk. It doesn't have to be a choice between them though...we should have both.

Shump was just as important cause Lin couldnt guard a cold. Calderon and other PGs went right back at him, if it wasnt for shump guarding the best opposing guard, there would be no linsanity but he sux.

Shumpert was good, but please...don't tell me he was "just as important as Lin." That's ridiculous.

We upgrade from davis/bibby to felton/kidd and we still suck

Uh no...we downgraded from Lin/whoever to Felton/Kidd.

pablo priogioni is supposedly one of the best in europe and after watching that huertas dude eat the USA team alive, if pablo is even half as good as he was, i would be happy.

Pablo Priogioni, a 35-year-old rookie...great point there.

camby averages a ton of rebounds per minute and still can control the paint but hey without lin he sux.

Getting a good backup center doesn't mitigate the loss of your starting point guard.

I just do not understand.

Was lin really that amazing in people's minds?

Lin was amazing. Not in "people's minds." On the basketball court.

There is not a shred of an argument to be made that this is an improved roster. We added some severely aging backups. We lost a 23-year-old point guard who was...yes, amazing, last year.

Jeez. take off the myopic glasses. Here are some numbers, ya know facts for your delusions:

1) Feb: Lin 21ppg, 4 reb, 8.4 assists on 47% shooting and 33% 3 pt fg

2) mar: Lin 15ppg, 3 rebs, 6.3 assists on 41% shooting and 33 3pt %

he could not maintain his run. His numbers didnt hold up. nevermind the fact he was averaging 4.4 TOs a game

he was good for a stretch then came back to earth.

you crap on felton and kidd but hey kidd lead a team to the finals 2010-2011.

felton under dantoni was doing rather decently (ya know the same system that lin did well in) averaging 17 and 9.

But whatever your lin colored glasses can only see his rosy greatness.

amare did start out the year badly, but he picked it up later in the year, NUMBERS do not lie. 18, 8 on 56% shooting and taking less shots.

novak is overpaid at 4 mil a year BUT it is OK to give LIN 15 mil a year plus another 30 mil in penalties.

shump was as important. shump and tyson ANCHORED our defense. Shump prevent guards from getting into the lane so teams were forced into 1 on 1s and jumpshots. YOU SIR DO NOT RESPECT DEFENSE.

yeah pablo is 35 but watching the olympics should give you some respect for european players.

getting camby means when tyson comes out our interior defense doesnt suffer. SEE THAT WORD AGAIN DEFENSE.

"offense wins games, DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS"

Lin played no D. Steals are not an indicator of D. watch some games and not highlights

Wow someone that finally makes sense thank u sir great post.

Posters on here make lin out to be god lol we should waive all players and have him play 1on5 lol

Timofey Mozgov 2013 MMLE cat.

I really can't imagine what this team is gonna be in 2 years. Kidd, Camby, Amare, Felton on the biggest loser, Kurt Thomas, JR ...

Kevin Love was definitely better than Carmelo last year. Westbrook was better too. Deron Williams and Carmelo are close. Carmelo for the moment is better than Irving.

But there are other players on that list who are probably at least as good as Carmelo, like Griffin and Dirk.

louieOrr wrote:Yea...for me Lin is seeming kind of disingenuous. The whole humble, god loving attitude just isn't jiving with me now. Its not like he wasn't going to be paid if he stayed a Knick. He shouldn't say he wanted to stay here. That's crap. He only revealed that when it was obvious we were not gonna match. He would never have blew up like he did anywhere else. Now he sells out to Houston's need to tap into the Asian-American community to put a$$e$ in the seats.

I'd like to see how you would act if someone offered you an extra $5,000,000.

Marc Berman
As we reported, Felton was promised starting PG guard when he signed, with Kidd as backup. Felton, Kidd, Spanish League warhorse Pablo Prigioni as third string will be fine. Unsure of Linsanity clamor once Felton came aboard. Why create an uncomfortable logjam filled with controversy. That's not exactly what feel-good Disney Movie from last February/March was about. That was an unforgettable moment in time and would never be same. It passed when Lin redid offer sheet.

If Nowitzki was on the Knicks Knick fans would have been ripping him for playing like crap...which is what he played like last season relative to what people are used to. And Nowitzki is 34 so he'd be right in the "senior parade" that some of you are ripping right now.

Deron Williams and Carmelo are close? So Deron Williams getting a better coach fired by leading an obvious coup and then winning absolutely diddly with the Nets is explained away how?

Griffin got how far in the playoffs with a better team?

Gotta give it to Berman, that is well thought out, although i don't agree with it.
