Griffin and Dirk are no gods, but that's kinda the point I'm making about Carmelo. If I got to choose between Griffin and Carmelo right now, I'd take Griffin for sure.

Yeah you can't be taking Blake because you think he is the better player.

I think he's at worst equivalent.

You think Blake is Melo's equivalent right now?

Nowitzki had a rough season cause he played with Germany in the summer and with the lockout he can't recover well, with a normal offseason he's a top10 guy for sure, even top5, he was the best player in the World a year ago

As we reported, Felton was promised starting PG guard when he signed, with Kidd as backup. Felton, Kidd, Spanish League warhorse Pablo Prigioni as third string will be fine. Unsure of Linsanity clamor once Felton came aboard. Why create an uncomfortable logjam filled with controversy. That's not exactly what feel-good Disney Movie from last February/March was about. That was an unforgettable moment in time and would never be same. It passed when Lin redid offer sheet.

The moment "passed" because Dolan made the decision that it had passed. Dolan, and only Dolan, made this decision. And he is screwing the fanbase.

Here is how it went because you seem to be confused.

1. Houston makes offer to Lin.
2. Lin presents offer to NY.
3. Our front office being the keystone cops that they are told Lin that they will match. Instead of saying nothing until they got an official offer.
4. Lin goes back to Houston and says they are going to match - do you want to up the offer?
5. Houston ups offer.
6. Dolan says FU you sneaky chinaman GTFO.

I'm pissed at what happened at steps, 3, 4, 5 and 6. But don't leave Lin out of the equation. He pulled a fast one.

Giving Felton 4 years is a fireable offense, sorry it is. And I don't think Felton is good enough to start over Kidd at this point.
Felton is not a great scorer, can't finish around the basket, doesn't draw fouls...most of his points come off that low % pull up jumper. On top of that he's an average playmaker.

Felton only got 3 years.

You think he's turning down that player option?

Gotta give it to Berman, that is well thought out, although i don't agree with it.

If I ran the team the roster would look a lot different. But I'm not mad at what we got.

Please God let Felton show up in shape, Amar'e healthy and remind Melo from time to time that basketball is a team sport.

u need to watch more games. melo stay passing and his teammates let him down time after time. i can't blame dude for wanting to shoot it himself even when doubled. lots of times during games when the scrubs are bricking i yell at the tv "just let melo shoot every time" because honestly melo shooting a contested jumper has a better percentage of going in than most of the scrubs taking a wide open set shot.

im half joking but for real stop with the shots at melo.

Since when does a player REDO the offer sheet and not a GM... This ish is hilarious.

You can't make any case, at all. Literally their is no qualitative or quantitative, statistic or accolade, team or individual success, that Melo has over Durant. Not a single stat.

If thats the case....then why is Durant better then Melo? 'Cause he can run off screens? Lol

Let's see:

KD (in 5 seasons): 3x All-NBA first team. 3x NBA Scoring Champ. Led his team to the NBA Finals. Back to back runner-up in MVP voting. PER (last 3 seasons-- Melo's never had a higher PER his entire career than any of these seasons): 26.2, 23.3, 26.2. Win Share (last 3 seasons): 16.1, 12, 12.1.

Melo (in 9 seasons): 4x All-NBA Third Team, 1x All-NBA second. No scoring titles. One WCF, worst playoff winning percentage in NBA history. Never finished Top-5 in MVP Voting. PER (last 3 seasons): 22.2, 21.7, 21.1. Win Share: 7.9, 7.9, 6.2.

Griffin isn't even a top5 PF right now.

Carmelo had a rough season cause he played: a) with a plethora of injuries, b) played out of position as point forward for all the games up utnil Linsanity. With a normal season and a normal system he would be back to what he used to be as well. Nowitzki is 34 years old. He looked it last season. He even said so (that he felt his age). But regardless, if he was a Knick he'd have been flieted alive because that's how Knick fans like to react...over react.

Most players aren't even around during the contract negotiation, but there is no doubt his agent got them to bump up the offer, which honestly I think the rumored deal was a fake to see where the Knicks stood.

Jonathan Feigen: Quick Lin update from Rockets summer league: NY still has not told Lin of their intentions and likely will not. He can read it in the paper.

When you're taking over 30 shots a game that's way too much. I think in the last playoff game he had 31 shot attempts and one assist.

That's nuts. And you don't have to listen to me, Tyson Chandler bitched about it right after the game.
Play time is over.
