Marc Berman ‏@NYPost_Berman

Confirmed Rockets in dark on #Knicks intentions with Lin. Still believe #Knicks would've matched current #s had that been first agreement.

YESSSS!!! NO more overrated PG. No more bandwagon Lin fans. This is perfect trade, you'll see guys when Lin becomes a mediocre PG in Houston. Everyone will get over it..

Now all we need to do is get rid of Fat Felton (can you say addition by subtraction?) and I'll consider this offseason a success. :D

Damage control... how can a team keep changing the offer once they make the offer public. I wouldn't be surprised Huston was going to poison pill the deal, no matter what.

Knicks were going to match 4/40 until Dolan did his thing.

Idk. I had a thought in the shower a moment ago...

What if this is Dolan's way of trolling the Rockets? He wants to make them believe they have Lin? :(

Here is how it went because you seem to be confused.

1. Houston makes offer to Lin.
2. Lin presents offer to NY.
3. Our front office being the keystone cops that they are told Lin that they will match. Instead of saying nothing until they got an official offer.
4. Lin goes back to Houston and says they are going to match - do you want to up the offer?
5. Houston ups offer.
6. Dolan says FU you sneaky chinaman GTFO.

I'm pissed at what happened at steps, 3, 4, 5 and 6. But don't leave Lin out of the equation. He pulled a fast one.

Hello, disgusting racist. I clicked on "report this post" but it said it had already been reported. Too bad multiple people can't weigh in, but at least I know I'm not alone in my reaction.

You don't know me, so don't call me a racist. When I said "sneaky chinaman" that's my interpretation of what Dolan is thinking.

Grow up!
Play time is over.

Since when does a player REDO the offer sheet and not a GM... This ish is hilarious.

Most players aren't even around during the contract negotiation, but there is no doubt his agent got them to bump up the offer, which honestly I think the rumored deal was a fake to see where the Knicks stood.

Morey's not as stupid as we think.. he had no choice. He had to make sure he did whatever he could to give him the best shot at landing Lin. The story will come out... we'll know soon enough. I just dont think it's being portrayed accurately... Morey will clear the air.

definitely.

Morey was upset he let Lin go, and did what he had to do to get him back.

Seems like mission accomplished, not mad about that at all.

LOVE not better than Melo? When was the last time a player put up 26/13? I'm guessing not since Shaq's prime. And I don't wanna hear about "empty stats" since Carmelo is a master at that.

So let me get this straight you can't use your own eyes & what you've seen to argue against something? You have to cling onto numbers & statistics?

Present day, Melo is better than Kobe & Wade. And I WHOLEHEARTEDLY believe that. Dirk too.
