Knicks to Nets fans....Chime in here

I have made the switch. Was wanting to root for the Nets since they moved into my city and a few minutes from my home, but this Lin decision pushed me to actually make the switch, and i feel real good about it. No more complaining about an owner who is a complete dick like Dolan!

Lets got Nets!!!! Who else made the move today?

I'm sure there will be some NJ nets fans against it, but as a Nets fan I welcome the new blood.
As long as the new guys don't make us look bad with ridiculous homerish posts on the general board

The Nets and Knicks were both teams I supported for years. I was very sad when they left for Brooklyn, but now that the Knicks have punched me directly in the face and laughed about it (and about 75% of the rest of their fanbase too)...I'm all about Prokhorov.

If I watch basketball at all, which I don't think I'll be doing much anymore, I will support Brooklyn.

As I said before Nets moving to my borough Brooklyn made them my 2nd fav team. Knicks are #1 but I might end up watching the Nets more till the Knicks rebuild their mess in 3yrs.

Excited to see Brooks, been watching him in the summer league games.

What makes you think they will do this?

They have failed EVERY single time. Every GM in the last 10 years has gone down in flames. Every coach has quit or been fired. Every "shedding of cap space" ended up failing and hamstringing them. Every contract has blown up in their face. Every draft pick has busted or gone on to succeed with another team.

They are complete and utter garbage. A 3rd rate piece of **** franchise that would be worse than the Warriors or Clippers if they weren't in New York. Think about it. What have they ever achieved since Ewing retired that wasn't based on someone wanting to play in the big market?

Time to get real. They didn't update their jerseys in 15 years for a reason. They failed for a reason. It's not coincidence. It never was. They are a bunch of incompetent turds. And in the modern era, they always have been.

Rooting for a **** organization after they treat fans like complete **** for over a decade, raised ticket prices the second the team started playing .500 ball and not matching a 25M dollar offer for one of the only youngsters on the team with potential is disgraceful. Now is the time to leave the Dolan stench and start anew with a team thats playing in my backyard. Now is the time disgruntled Knicks fans can get a clean break from the organization.

The opening poster lives a few minutes from the Barclays Center and was thinking about switching teams so whats the problem here. No team in Brooklyn = Brooklynites supporting the Knicks but now Brooklyn has it's own team why should they root for the Knicks anymore?
