Clyde,

God Bless.

Also wanted to point out agreed with KnicksGod and Ibraheim posts on the subject matter as well. For some of us it is only so much Jack johnson punches you can take before you realize with the organization the more things change the more they remain the same.

After Lin's 14 1/2 ps and 6.2 asssits in 35 games as a 23 year old PG, it's obvious he can ONLY go on to be a superstar in this league. Heck - at the end of his contract, as a 26 year old, he could be a Nash-like 17 pts 9 assists!

Of course, if that performance as a 23 year old DOES indictate future greatness, It stands to reason that if you could get yourself a PG who as a 23 year old put up 14 1/2 pts and 7.4 assists in 79 games, and then DID put up 17/9 as a 26 year old in 54 games for the Knicks - and is still only 27 years old. with7 BETTER assist seasons ALREADY in the NBA than Lin had this season, how do you NOT project greatness for HIM? Just asking.

Lin was actually 18 pts 8 assists as as starter. Counting the games where he played 5 minutes in garbage time as a bench warmer is a bit unfair imo.

This is not only an angry post. I'm quite serious. This puts a hex on the franchise. Dolan is a curse and this is his legacy statement. It will never be forgotten.

I understand but I'm not that disappointed. I've been against the direction of the team for the past 18 months and evern since Donnie Walsh was forced out I knew Dolan was slowly derailing the team. I've known for a long time Dolan was the worst owner in the NBA but 18 months ago I finally came to terms with the fact the Knicks would probably not win a championship on Dolan's watch.

For me it's just another blunder. I wanted us to match Lin's offer sheet but the problem goes way beyond Lin. I could understand no matching Lin if the team still had flexibility to acquire a better player down the line via free agency or trade or nba draft. It's just history repeating itself : no draft picks, youth for veterans, expiring contracts for longer contracts, capped out, no flexibility and no plan. The Knicks never learn from their past mistakes. It's insane to have such a high payroll and so little flexibility for a team that only won one playoff game the past two seasons and little room for improvement with only veterans. At best only Melo can become a better player and MVP candidate, Amare, Tyson, Kidd, Camby and the rest can only decline. For me the strategy was flawed from the start and I knew the team would run out of gas (ammos to reach the next level).

As always I will root for the team to win but I don't expect much. It's been like that for a long time (with the exception of the 2008-2011 era where I had hope we would finally build the team the right way with competence and patience (instead of trying to make the playoffs at all costs).

Respect. My apologies for anything I said to you in the past about the motives of the team.

Have you joined the dark side?

If year 4 were a player option I would understand this move.

I do not understand this move. Pure stupidity. Inconceivable. :o

He can have all of the money in the world. That still isn't going to stop all of NY booing his ass and the chants he is going to hear next year at MSG. Guy is the modern day version of King George Steinbrenner. Just remember, fans only fell in love with George due to him getting kicked out of Baseball for a couple of seasons and couldn't have any control. That lead to the Yankees forming a dynasty that still last today.

Knicks would have to win a championship for the fans to shut up about him. Guy is going to get booed out of MSG on a nightly basis next year. I personally am not sad about Lin leaving but damn Dolan has zero grasp of what the fans wanted.

A lot of fans thought Emeka Okafor was supposed to be the # 1 pick in 2004 and were shocked that Dwight Howard got picked.

Fans would have made the wrong choice.

I can't wait for tools to show up here and support James Dolan. I'm not even sure why they do it. It's like they don't understand the man took over in 1999 and since then the Knicks have been on a downward spiral to oblivion.

I thought he was hated before, but unless the Knicks are amazing next year he's going to be hated more than ever before. Should've just signed and then traded Lin in January and at least gotten something out of him.

 As men we all have thresholds... we can all take so much. I'm not turning a blind eye to the buffoonery that is this front office 1 day longer. I just ignored it with the hopes of 2010 being the year the tables get set in our favor... and that opportunity spiraled out of control so fast that it had my head spinning. But as a person I consider my self an original thinker and I couldn't align myself with a herd of blind sheep any longer.

So I said my peace to TKF... I apologized to KoS... and I extend an apology to you.. and Duetta... Clyde style and all the Knicks fans that are older than me... and I'm 38... been a fan since 84. I made a mistake... I can be a stubborn person that can argue two sides of the same story to death.

I like to play devils advocate and I love rooting for the underdog.

And trust me it's not the dark side... it's the seeing the light...

I envy franchises like the Lakers, Celtics, Patriots, Spurs, Cardinals (bas) and all the other franchises that have strong ownership and good management.

It starts at the top and trickles downhill and we have undeniably, unquestionably one of the worst owners in sports history.

Not saying about the basketball stuff where we might have disagreed.. the stuff on the floor because I played competitive levels of basketball and I have some of my own personal ideas of what makes a winning team on the court.... but the ownership and the black cloud that comes with it? Yep.. should of paid it 100x more respect for how bad it really is.

5/5/15.

Kris Humphries is going to make 12/12.

This franchise is a f*cking joke.
