Man, Houston is so lucky. They cut the guy, watch him turn into a superstar, and by some miracle get him back the following offseason.

Lebron James. Pretty much for nothing.

Cleveland didn't have the option of retaining him...

Difference being the Cavs didn't have the ability to match any Lebron offer.

Italia, I don't mean this in a derogatory way whatsoever but how old are you? I only ask because I think it's the Knick fans that have seen so much fail over the years that are most upset.

Been a fan since late 80's, saw them deal the pick that became our tormentor Scottie Pippen, saw them deal a young Rod Strickland for a 35 yr old, saw them do crazy sht for years upon years..Charles Smith/Frederick Weis/lottery pick and 25 yr old Marcus Camby for player many felt was thisclose to having his career ended, Ewing traded for Rice and bad contracts, Rice traded for worse players and contracts, MoF*** Layden years then the MoFo*** Isaih years. Even our savior Donnie wasn't perfect either.

Then one of the luckiest brakes I've ever seen happens with this Lin kid and who the hell knows what he'll be?? But g*damn it's intriguing, interesting, hell it's fascinating really. Even non-Knick fans were into this. How good or bad can he become being 23 yrs old??

And now it's all gone. Poof. We didn't even get a G*Damn season out of it to see all the parts working together.

It's depressing and it;s pent up anger.

I'm not one of those "I CAN"T BELIEVE THIS" fans but I understand. I'm a diehard Knick fan and so I'm most definately not going to mock them..

I would agree with this I think it affects a lot of the older fans who have seen these type of moves among other things for years

Cleveland got 2 1st rounders, 2 2nd rounders and a large trade exception.

completely off topic, but why exactly is that? knicks would have had to pay wilson chandler and gallo... and would have had no money to spend to get tyson... so what would the roster be?

felton
gallo
chandler

mozgoz

?? multiple chips right there.

Are you guys serious? Some of these comments are simply baffling. Not going to root for the Knicks anymore? Switching to Brooklyn? Spewing venom the likes of which this forum has never seen? All because of Jeremy Lin? Really??

So let me get this straight, some of you are going to stop rooting for this team because we are not bringing back a player who has maybe 12-15 very good games in his entire career. Yes, Lin is a good player, perhaps has the chance to be a very good player, but I think many of you are blinded by the Linsanity story. I was one of those, I've been a fan of this team since 1991, but this is utterly ridiculous. If Lin was named Tom Smith and came from a regular basketball school and played the same way, I doubt people are throwing this much of a fuss.

For a number of reasons, some his fault, some not, Lin had a fantastic, otherworldly January that we will remember forever but his game and numbers dropped dramatically in February just before his knee injury. His FG% was awful and his assist to turnover ratio throughout the year was terrible. His pick and roll game never got going and people can't forget how little experience he has. I'm not bashing the kid, I was enthralled by Linsanity, but to act as if Felton/Kidd in and Lin out is the end all be all is just utterly ridiculous.

People resort to calling Felton Fatton and other stupid nicknames, when we forget how he was playing at an all star level and made A'mare an MVP candidate. Lest we forget that since Felton's departure, A'mare really hasn't been the same. Plus, the guy WANTS to be here. He has the fire and passion to be a Knick. I really never got that feeling from Lin. He is young, he got paid, I wish him well, but this team DID IMPROVE this offseason and I don't think we are done yet. People complain about how old we are, but guess what, most of the top teams from last year (except for OKC), were all in the top half of the oldest teams in the league, the Heat included.

I know this is a tough blow because we all have fond memories of Linsanity, but my gut feeling is, Lin will put up decent numbers on a losing team and Felton/Kidd will surprise you, along with the other pieces we picked up. A'mare getting his game back was always FAR FAR more important than resigning Lin. If Felton and A'mare can have that same chemistry, I think the future is bright.

Of course they will not say anything. For such a disappointing franchise they act like they've being a championship level team. What other team denies so much access to the media/ fans?

We have enough loose lips on this team. We'll get some comments in the next few weeks.

I can already see Felton stinking up the joint in the Garden.

I swear Felton better skinny the **** up and strive to be the best PG he can be. If he struggles like he did towards the end of his tenure here, he will get booed the hell out of this town.
