One sports consultant said the adjustment to the offer sheet was a stroke of genius by Rockets general manager Daryl Morey.

I hope we never deal with Houston again.

It was a dickish move tho....

Well were you implying that Felton wouldn't be effective finding Amare in the PnR or not? Because that seems like a contradiction to this last post. Felton will find Amare, maybe not others.

And Portland is kind of unfair for Felton. He wasn't happy there from jump, he came in out of shape and unmotivated. When he's been motivated and in shape, he has always been solid...not great, but certainly not bad. I don't like his play personally, but throughout his career...his numbers aren't bad!

I'm straight up saying Felton and Amare did not have this magical connection, and I am also saying that Felton has this tunnel vision in the PnR.

It's similar to the way Duhon would only pass to David Lee. Yea, he found David 4-5 times a game, but that is because it was the only play we ran, and it worked that many times out of 25 attempts. In the meantime, he was missing all the shooters and cutters.

That is the way Felton played when he was here.

Now before the flame squad comes out, RAYMOND FELTON IS MUCH BETTER THAN DUHON. I'm just saying that in running the PnR, he is way behind Lin.

Lin also was way more turnover prone. I think Lin is the better finisher and makes smarter decisions on the fast break but he also had tunnel vision and would often miss open players (especially Stat) because he was focused on getting his own shot.

But seriously - any time you can flip a 23 year old asset/fan favorite into a washed-up 40 year old and a fat guy, you have to do it.

Great, lets go Knicks, win a championship!

 Bill Simmons is going to town.

Who knows, but I think there will be less drama.. And I do think Felton and Kidd will "get along" with Melo and Stat better than Lin.. Not that Lin didn't with either before... Whether that translates into a better team - who knows.

I wouldn't even go that far tbh, it's just a different style. When the three played together, they split the FGA's near evenly...I remember running the numbers and they each had FGA's to the teens and Melo had the most with like 15 per. They split leading scorer pretty evenly well (and I think Novak or Jr was in the mix too). The difference with Felton/Kidd to me is that Amare and Melo will get more FGA's...and honestly, they're your max players so I suppose that might be what management is thinking.

Now, does that make it a better fit? Idk...I think it really depends on what Amare we get this year and if Melo can keep up how he ended last season...but I've said all along that next season will depend on Amare and Melo before our PG anyway...as long as we have a PG who can distribute the ball. Kidd can certainly do that, Felton isn't phenomenal distributing but he's good and while Lin is probably a bit better I don't think the gap is huge between the two. Lin is better at incorporating EVERYONE while Felton zeroes in on his stars (I'm basing this on Felton in NY where Amare was his first, second and last option with Wil third and Gallo fourth).

This was all set up Friday/Saturday when reports came out the Knicks had signed Felton. Felton agent said than that the Knicks promised Felton the starting job when he signed. That is when all the rumors started. They knew since Friday/Saturday, that they were going to let Lin go.

Yes, I know Woodson said Lin was going to be the Knicks starting point guard, But John Elway also said that Tebow was going to be the Broncos starting QB this year and 2 weeks later they traded him. Woodson just gave the political correct answer.

Having class, courtesy, and manners is important in asian culture. You can call him an idiot but its a cultural thing for East Asians to be respectful. So you may just really be feeling culture shock.

Time for the Knicks to get ready for next season. I do look forward to watching a revamped Knicks roster do even better this upcoming season.

Well, I'm rooting for Ray, and we are going to run a different offense, so I'll hope for the best. I know that Lin is the better PG in terms of running an offense. There is no way around that in my mind.

Ray is my PG now, so I hope he can get the job done.

And I literally just gave you the statistics that said as PnR passers, they were dead even last season...so where are you getting this from? Because Lin spread the love? Felton's guys scored 53% of the time and Lin's 54%. Felton's "Tunnel Vision" accounted for a 1% field goal drop and guess what, he'll FIND AMARE MORE which was my point. No one said they had a magical connection. Stop exaggerating. The numbers say the two are neck and neck at effectively passing in the PnR. Why ignore that?
