And, I think we can put Lin in a situation where he could succeed. He'll likely be involved in a lot of pick and roll/isolation situations surrounded w/ shooters, and athletes that can run the floor. In fact, it should be similar to not only that run w/ the Knicks, but how we used Dragic as well. Now the question is, CAN he play at that sort of level on a consistent basis, because the opportunity for him to do so will be there (moreso than if he returned to NY, IMO). I don't think it's likely, nor I don't think anyone is expecting him to do what he did during that "Linsanity" stretch, but he has the potential to be a guy that could be a 17/7 sort player on our team, I'd think.

But yes, he needs to dramatically improve on reducing those turnovers, he was turning it over at an all time rate.

Can I be a Lin only fan? no?

Atleast Rockets got some excitement this year, even if they head to the lottery.

Congrats dudes. I think Lin has the work ethic and desire to be a very solid addition for you guys. And I think you may have cleaned up in the draft. You're nicely poised for the future (especially with our draft pick, lol).

The one thing I'm interested in seeing this year is if he can play an entire 82 game schedule. With his attacking style he takes a lot of hits, I mean a lot of hits. It seems like one out of every two times he would drive he would be on the floor, no fouls called. I have no doubt in my mind that he will be a 15-18 points, 6-8 assists, 2 steals type of guy for you guys. However again the concern is that his playing style is not conducive to staying healthy IMO.

Why don't you both just change your sigs and become a Rockets fan, there's nothing wrong with selling out and changing teams who has your favorite player. I happen to like the Rockets, I'm just a bigger Knicks fan, but I wouldn't sell out my favorite team and still pretend to be a fan on the Knicks Realgm board.

That being said, I wish the Rockets success this upcoming year and beyond and while I'm not happy about the Lin situation, I hope that Lin also has success in Houston. The Knicks/Rockets game will be priceless from this point forward....guarantee major network exposure!

Why would I become a rockets fan ? I've been a Knicks fan all my life and I always will be. That doesn't mean I can't point out how terrible our front office is.

I guess it is official. Linsanity in H-town. Only 23, promising point guard. I hope he continues to develop well. We got rid of some guys who didn't want to be here. Now lets get this rockets rebuilding on the road. I'm actually excited to see if we can turn this thing around. It wont be a one season answer of course. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Hope Rockets don't trade away Jeremy Lamb. Would like to see the Jeremy Lin and Lamb combo...

Let's see what happens, if he can play similar to his Feburary run when he led the Knicks to a 10 game winning streak, getting them INTO playoff contention, before Melo. This would be a solid acquisition. I mean you don't just go an entire month with MONSTER performances like that and create an impact of that nature out of nowhere.

what most people forget is Lin was facing hard doubles basically playing with guys with limited offensive abilities

who took these role players and and won with them...

Agreed. I'm not going to make an official decision on this signing until after the season progresses. But in an isolated system where he'd the primary ball-handler, we've only seen good things. Also a good thing that we don't have any other ball-dominant players, that was the problem when Carmelo Anthony arrived. Lamb is a player that plays beautifully off the ball, really reminds me of a mini-KD in that sense. Parsons and D-Mo are both players that again don't dominate the ball, it'll be interesting to see how he'll transcend.

I am a big Lin fan (from Canada)and I followed him everywhere. I can see a big difference between New York Forum and Houston Forum. You guy didn't seem to be really exciting that Lin join the team a way too quiet compare to New York. New York Forum is going crazy now. By the way I think Lin find a right place for him to stay. New York is a way too crazy. And I think finally he can just play basketball and don't have to listen to all the BOSS from New York. Good Luck Houston I will watch all your game from now on with Lin. I won't waste my time to see New York anymore.
