No need, Just be a Lin fan and buy a generic jersey. Knowing our GM he will trade Lin for cash and draft picks after a year. The reason we signed Lin instead of Dragic is a 4 year deal with a player option is harder to trade.

Do you think the Rockets will make the Playoffs?

No way I can even think about that now. Once the Omer Asik offer is finished I expect at least a few moves from Morey. Even if he doesn't get Howard, he has a bunch of pieces that are easily traded. Expiring contracts, partially guaranteed contracts, first rounds lottery pick, two second round picks (Knicks) and a ton of cap room.

He loves to make deals so the roster is not even close to settled. We have seven power forwards.

Then what was wrong with what I said? If you don’t make the playoffs you wait to watch pin pong balls.. Have fun watching baaawls son… pause

You said "has fun losing a lot of games" which won't happen. With Howard they make the playoffs easily. With Asik and corresponding moves they do as well.

Also, I know you think draft picks are something to be disdained and avoided at all costs (which is why you always give them to the Rockets for nothing) but they are actually there to make your team better. FYI

Someone on the radio asked a very important question: are KNICKS fans upset about Lin leaving because they sincerely believe he is "THE" piece to get them to a championship, or are fans upset because Lin provided a likable and exciting story to root for when the team was struggling and had little to cheer for?

Because if Lin was "THE" key to a championship, then we just messed up big time. But if Lin was merely an exciting "feel good" story when we needed it most, those are the wrong reasons to hold onto him.

So that theory got me thinking: Lin was like a candy bar... it was great and temporarily satisfied hunger, but it wasn't meant to be a meal.

From a basketball standpoint, Lin was exciting, but he wasn't the key to the promised land. He could get to the hole and create some awesome highlight reels, but did he make his teammates better? Not exactly. In case no one noticed, we are deeply committed financially to Melo, Chandler and basically Amare. They are not going anywhere. So the basketball question was: as a point guard, does Lin elevate Melo's, Chandler's and STAT's game, or does he just elevate his own? The answer should be clear.

We will never know the REAL reasons why Dolan chose not to match. I doubt it's one simple, single answer and probably involved numerous possibilities, including money, basketball decision, locker room animosity, Lin's agents overplaying their hand, CAA, or more. But if you guys can come to grips with the fact that Lin was not the missing piece to our championship puzzle, hopefully time will permit you to come to your senses and realize that even without Lin, the KNICKS are still on track.

GO KNICKS!!!

You realize that you just lost your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th leading scorer of your team that missed the playoffs last season right? You see I’m basing my analysis off of reality not what ifs and if this happens type ish my dude.

As it stand right now you guys are a below average team with assets.

You have three very good players at least for the next three years and you had to bottom out your team's salary to get them. You traded assets just to dump salary. Players at that skill level are very hard to come by. So during this window trying to get a championship, you let the better of the three PG walk away for nothing. That is what confused me.

F**K our Front Office.

F**K you Grun. If he sucked(which he won't) you have 2 years to move the most marketable player in the NBA. Our team is worse by not keeping Lin.

F**K you Dolan. Spending Money is literally the only thing your good at. And now you go cheap. F**K you.

No he didn't his agent failed. If he would have went to more teams he could have gotten the entire 40 mill but he just bent over and dropped his panties for the first team that talked to him and he moved out of a big market to do it. So gj x 2 for his agent

Yeah I'm sure dozens of teams had the combination of no starting PG and 15 million in cap space to offer him 40 million over 4 years.

Dragic signed for 34 with incentives over 4 years and he is better than Lin. There is just no way that is possible. He is already overpaid at 8 per year.

Dragic is better statistically. But look what Lin did with less of a team. Lin is the better basketball player.
We are stuck with Fatty now...

Stupidest move in franchise history.

There were times when this roster:

Chandler
Jeffries
Novak
Fields
Lin

Looked like the best team in the league. Played BBall the way it was meant to be played. Total team ball. Was so fun and exciting to watch. I do think you have to give Lin a lot of credit for that. For about 20 games or so he showed the vision of D'Antoni that we had all been hoping to see. I think we will all miss him, not because this new Woodson and Melo led team is worse, but because the joy and purity will never be there like it was during that cold and crazy couple months.

Well good thing there won't be any games this month.

All of the guys we lost are replaceable. They are just rotation players. As it stands right now we have only downgraded our PG losing Dragic for Lin. Motiejunas is likely to stay and he is a 7 footer with offense we that didn't have last year (dalembert and Camby)

After that, no telling who will be on the team but Martin and Lamb are great scorers. Parsons was awesome last year as a rookie and will be even better.

It is good to have assets. We gave up nothing to get Dalembert and Camby. We sold them for the ability to move up to get Lamb and two of your draft picks. We got Motiejunas with the 20th pick for Miller who cost us no talent or draft picks.
