You need to get over this idea that we're going to get equal value on any Dwight trade real quick or you're going to be suicidal when Rob pulls the trigger.

We'll be lucky to get a quarter back on the dollar in terms of talent. That's why we need to focus on draft picks, young players, and relieving cap space. Houston can offer all three.

This.

The truth hurts. We need to take the best package of Picks+Prospects+Salary Dump possible and move on from this situation. We can't win, we can only move on.

The Lakers are attempting to secure a meeting with Dwight Howard and also with the Magic on Tuesday, according to sources.

Los Angeles is seeking an extension commitment before moving forward with a trade for Howard.

The Rockets have not set up a meeting with Howard to discuss similar circumstances.

Sup magic fans. I would like your opinion on the trade scenario consisting mainly of the following:

Lakers- get howard
magic- get drummond, salary cap relief, picks
pistons- get bynum

add players to make the money workout.

I'm talking with another piston fan in a piston thread and he thinks this is what the magic would want. but i don't know why the magic would want drummond over bynum OR monroe.

it makes sense to pair jeremy lin with dwight howard, from both a basketball standpoint and marketing.

pick n roll with lin and howard. and with linsanity, everybody, except magic fans, would forget about dwightmare.

now it's a matter of what magic get back. last time they gave orlando francis.. ugh

Dude, bro, my man,

Speculating on whether Bynum will sign an extension is entirely different than a guarantee from Bynum.

can you please post this back on the Piston board for me? Thats too much work. hahaha

Nope, unless rebuilding gets underway faster than expected and we reach the playoffs next season, a bit like the Pacers this year or even better.

Any time I look at a trade I look at it from both teams sides. I dont understand why Houston would make a deal that gives us their young propects as well as taking our bad contracts AND giving us draft pickss for a guy who by all indacations has no plans to resign with them. If Dwight leaves them next year they would stil be stuck with our bad contratcs on their cap. Why would they do this?? I like the Houston deal and maybe Im just being a negative bitter magic fan but I dont see this happening. At most we will have to take a whole hell of a lot less for this to happen. I still would prefer it to the Nets deal cause at least they have a possible valuable draft pick to give.

Which pick? Because, Jeremy Lamb alone is probably worth more than a maxed out Brooke and all the Nets late round picks.

I would do just Lamb/White and 2 future firsts or maybe even less than anything Nets could muster up.

Varejao? Really? We'll be robbing the Cavs if this deal happens. We should send them draft picks to make the deal more balanced.

I hope Henny is not that dumb.
