Question from a long time lurker/Introduction :

I've followed this board for at least 6 years now, and that's not like e-penis credentials or anything - just context.

My question is - what happened to Star? He was my favorite poster for a long time.

he moved to charlotte and became a bobcats fan. i believe] he then moved to new york and became a knicks fan. i'm not 100% on that last part.

Since this thread hasn't been locked yet, I guess I could use it like an introduction.

I've been a lakers fan since the early 90's, I used to love watching Magic play even though I didn't know anything about basketball when I was like 8. I mostly grew up being forced to watch Jordan - my older brother was a Bulls fan and we got WGN here on the east coast. I'm 29 now.

Started following the lakers seriously a few years after they got Kobe, he's pretty easily my favorite laker of all time. Rodman is my favorite non-laker player. I've had the Nba ticket for the last 4 years so I've seen every lakers game, before that I would just catch whatever is on national tv.

I like our acquisition of Nash, despite how old he is his defensive game has always been non existent and his game was never really based around breaking people down 1on1 so I think he will be able to perform at a decent level for the rest of his contract. I'm officially a DH fan, I would love nothing more than the lakers to be able to flip Bynum for him because even despite his recent back surgery, I feel that as long as Kobe exists on our team we have the scoring covered and Dwight is a much better impact defender than Bynum is.

I think that's about it. So as a long time east coast lakers fan, I say hello to you all. I've more than likely seen all you post before but I'm still excited to interact with now. I'm a little jealous of our western brothers but I'm willing to pay for the ticket to watch lakers games. Eventually I will catch a live game.

And no, I'm not Doormatt or Star :lol:

I kinda do. I've always liked your posts, I know all about Snaq, I remember when Destro(forgot his first name) was the new guy and all ragey when he first signed up yet he's chilled out for some reason over the past few months, I've always enjoyed DEEP's posts, all our mods are chill as ****..

For the most part I like this board a lot. There is some homerism to be expected but honestly I see less dumb posts here than in most of the other forums, let alone the unreadable GB
