Tony Mejia‏@TonyMejiaNBA
In fact, count on ‪#Rockets‬ trying to spin the global appeal of ‪#Linsanity‬ as a tool for Dwight Howard to rebuild his image.

Mejia‏@TonyMejiaNBA
For those asking, Jeremy Lin signing w/ ‪#Rockets‬ doesn't end their pursuit of Dwight Howard. ‪#Houston‬ remains his most likely destination.

I'm fine with Orlando taking their time on a deal and making sure everything works out for them. I know there is more to just "Ok let's send Dwight to Houston for these players. Sign here, and done", there must be a colossal amount of work and words that need to be exchanged not only between both teams, but everyone's agents, the NBA, executives on both sides, owners, etc., etc.. And it's rare you can ever get everyone on the same page at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if at one point during a transaction that some people are still lacking on info and still need to catch up.

I can only hope before the end of the month that we end up with some young promising prospects and draft picks. It's rare for for us to have a combination of both, and it would be something new for all of our fans, even ones who have been around since the beginning. Put a young team with loads of talent, we'll love them either way.

Despite talks of ‪#Lakers‬ being Howard's destination, the chances of that has been and continues to be unlikely. Andrew Bynum wants to stay.

Stop posting Tony Mejia. All of his tweets are based on his opinions not inside sources.

OK, so once HOU gets all their OS stuff ironed out w/Asik, how soon before we finally end ‪#dwightmare‬?" Next week at earliest

Rockets still have Dragics rights, holding out for a SnT, thats where the 2 players to be waived thing comes from.

Morey really weaves in and out of the cap/roster limit rules, which is time consuming, because things /transactions all have to be made in a specific order to work.

More signs pointing to us holding this ish up. My hunch is it's Devos, he's holding this up.

I think he's got it wrong. HOU is holding this up because they've been waiting to see how things end up with Lin and Asik.

That's unlikely, but maybe next time we have a superstar would be 20 years from now.

I don't think it is just based on his opinion and anyway how much worse is that than so called "insider sources"?

Even with Bynum, the Cavs would still lose a lot of games. Varejao is a crappy player, but that fits right into Henny's strategy if you consider the fact that he wants to lose games in order to get high picks. Varejao has 2 seasons to play before his team can use their Team Option and let him go. We're not winning a Championship in 2 seasons from now folks, so come back from the ledge if you think we're trying to build a winner WITH Varejao. This is about a concentrated rebuild and fielding a team of crappy players.

This is all starting to make sense now. Jameer is the perfect PG to have if you want to lose. We let Anderson walk away for free. We brought back Redick for another year because he gives us one of the weaker starting SGs in the East, and Henny can disguise his desire to lose by bringing him back on the reason that he is one of the better "team leaders" we have on the team. Hedo hasn't been involved in trade talks because... again... he sucks and will help us lose. His contract is not bad since he's expiring next season. I'm betting that Nicholson will start the season as our starting PF because he needs to be groomed and developed right away. Baby or Vareflop will start for us at Center, and that's not a half bad idea for any team wanting to tank the season away.

High picks is where it's at! Go Henny, Go!

This is what pisses me off about you guys..do you even now what the hell comes out of you mouth. Anderson is ok player...and the Cavs picks are HORRIBLE. They own the HEATS and Lakers 1st round picks and bunch of 2nds what the HELL are you going to do with that. Please think before you write.Thanks. This trade would be HORRIBLE

Oh well, didn't know that about the Cavs picks. Thought I remembered something about them not having their own, but I can't remember the reason. Still, Vareflop sucks badly. But without high picks, yeah, this trade stinks a lot.

I agree this trade sucks...but your post made you look pretty idiotic. I'm not sure why you are repeatedly saying Varajeo sucks...when he doesn't at all. In fact he is one of the better centers in the NBA. And the Cavs would not lose a lot of games with a duo of Irving/Bynum, are you kidding me? That's easily a playoff team in the east.

If we tank this year, we could have a shot at Andrew Wiggins, Nerlens Noel or Shabazz Muhammed... All have superstar potential.

Don't bet on it. I'm not saying that he doesn't still prefer to keep Dwight, but at the same time, we have to remember that our GM wasn't part of last season in Orlando, and only has 3 weeks under his belt in the role. Had he made a deal by now, it probably would have been rushed. As I said in a previous thread, trading Dwight almost certainly signals a complete rebuild - I'd rather Henny take his time and get this right and leave us building on solid foundations than take a deal just to get it over with quickly and make a mistake.

How is it even possible to make a mistake in a Houston trade? A lot of people keep saying it's good for Henny not to "rush", but there really is nothing to rush here. As part of due draft diligence they should already know everything there is to know about the 3 rookies since they just got drafted less than a month ago. And then the other players..how much time would it take to research them? The only way you could "make a mistake" in this trade is if one of the players you don't pick turns out to be a superstar - but that's not going to happen. Whether you pick Morris, Patterson, or Parsons - they're all going to be role players. None of them has the chance to burn you. Everyone here unanimously agrees LA doesn't have as good of a potential deal as Houston too, so you can't say "Oh he rushed it we could've gotten X instead". No other team has the assets to make us look back and regret a trade with the Rockets. I mean I'm firmly in the Bynum camp, but he does not fit Henny's plan going forward so my opinions on him are moot. We can't say "We could've got Bynum" since the plan is to rebuild and it's impossible to make a mistake rebuild wise with a Houston trade

It'd be one thing if Houston was lowballing. I could accept all the smokescreens then. But by ALL accounts we're not even talking to them. That's just ridiculous. If Houston is willing to deal then we should've been in there with them and this whole circus should've been done a long time ago.

I like what Jeremy Lin brings to Howard's brand around the world. Those two could go on world tours and make mega money.
