I want Castenallos and Porcello or Turner. Turner is probably more realistic. I think he just got called up to pitch a game this week. Let's hope he doesn't do too well.

If we can add something to Greinke and get both Castenallos and Turner, that'll probably be the deal Doug goes with. Letting KROD close for a few games might make him a good guy to combine with Greinke.

Probably more likely to get BOTH Castenallos and Turner two than to get any one of Profar or Machado or Bundy.

There was a fake tweet attributed to Jon Morosi that seemed to start the rumor. Sounds like Detroit is telling teams he's unavailable.

Yuck.

Yuck? You are getting 4 of the Braves top 15 prospects. You must not know much about prospects.

None would rank as a top four or five prospect in their organization right now. Nobody gives a **** about quantity.

I know a lot about prospects. We want greater quality, not quantity. Make it Teaheran, and Delgado for Greinke and we maybe will listen a d discuss more.

All that matters is where they rank league-wide in terms of prospects. And quality always trumps quantity. You must not know much about trade value.

We get comp picks if Greinke just walks, so whatever prospect we get needs to be realistically better than who we would draft with said pick for it to make sense for the Crew.

Take out Jones and put in a better prospect and I'd do it if nothing better came along. The Brewers have no use for a sub .700 OPS outfielder who's still in A ball at age 25.

You guys also have to remember we only get one compensation pick at the end of the first round if Greinke walks.

RHP Randall Delgado, RHP Zeke Spruill, 3b Edward Salcedo and OF Todd Cunningham for Grienke and a PTBNL ?

This is new, I didn't pay much attention to new CBA so I didn't know about this:

Interesting that these picks can be traded. If my late night, can't sleep math is right - looks like 12 of the 14 teams listed will get a pick either between rounds 1 and 2 or 2 and 3.

Not a trade rumor but a free agency thing. Will Carroll was on WSSP and said there's a "distinct possibility" that Josh Hamilton is a Brewer next year.

I don't think it's totally out of the realm of possibility, there are some reasons it could make sense.

There's the connection to Narron. The Brewers won't want to waste prime Braun years. They can go cheap in the rotation behind Gallardo. We're the drunkest state in the country.

IT ALL FITS.

The Miami Marlins have approached the Boston Red Sox about a blockbuster trade that would send left fielder Carl Crawford and a prospect to South Florida for infielder Hanley Ramirez and closer Heath Bell, according to three officials with knowledge of the talks who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because negotiations are ongoing.

Everyone else is saying there's nothing to those trade talks.

So, the #Brewers get the fifth pick in Comp. Round B. With new rules, won't know precisely where that pick falls until next spring.

Yeah, I guess teams still can lose first round picks for signing guys, but those picks don't go to the team that lost the player, the pick just disappears and everybody moves up a spot. Or something like that?

Didn't this get thrown around a few months ago? I don't expect anything to come of it, but it seems I've heard this before.

Would anybody want Hanley Ramirez, if the price is right?
