Here's the latest on that story...

"Every single vet on our team that has been in the league longer than five years pulled me aside and told me that I shouldn't play," Lin said. "And I had arguments with them about why I should."

Sports Illustrated also reports that Lin clarified his "85 percent" comment. According to the magazine, Lin claims that he was 15 percent from the "absolute minimum threshold to play."

"People think it was easy for me to sit there and watch us lose, like I had nothing to do with the season," Lin said. "I was dying to play. I didn't miss a game due to injury in seven years until this past season, and people are acting like I wouldn't want to play in the playoffs? Of the NBA? In my first season?"

I hope we keep this guy. He embodies this new culture and will be an excellent example and teach the young guys.

I really appreciate how active he has been in the community. It's all really commendable and I respect that a lot.

MJ was less than 50% playing in the finals with the flu and he still played.. For teammates to tell someone at 85-90% to shut it down means they just did not like him.

(only comparing energy levels not playing ability)

I think it has nothing about not liking him, it's because he could put his career in jeopardy playing injured, they knew he hadnt a good contract. They simply said "man, you need to rest, if you get injured, no one will give you a contract next offseason". It shows how they liked him, IMO.

Dumbest post ive ever read.

1. Flu is totally different from a knee injury which had kept the player out for 6 weeks. Knee prevents you from doing basic basketball activities like jumping and cutting, and knee injury can get much worse when plalying

2. One player is going to be a free agent with no money in the bank , one player is at the end of his career
3. a finals game 5 2-2 vs first round elimination game which you probably wont win either way, why risk it

are you suggesting he could of easily played? and he decided not to play because he wanted to get paid? i think he could of played, but he was looking past the season

yeah let's get this Rockets deal done....hire a coach and start getting things in place.....i doubt that BS article saying that we might keep Dwight up until training camp...no way.....the coaches need time to evaluate the roster and see which philosophy fit the team....With Dwight still on the team that throws a wrench in the synergy so to speak.....get rid of Dwight....get a coach in place and hire the remaining staff.....start the rebuilding process

I agree. But Melo and Smith bumped heads with the Kid. Lin is not a hothead such as these two. it's possible he could have had his feelings hurt after the knee injury or didn't want to play with Me-first Anthony or Me First smith. I honestly don't think he quit on his team though.

I've grown happier day by day with Glen Davis being on this team. He is definitely a player who seems to really want to be here and care about the game of basketball rather than just about the other factors that go into professional sports. Also, I agree that as a fan I'm ready for a trade to go down so we can get this new foundation and culture fully integrated into the Magic organization and getting the foundation of the team setup for a new coach to work with for as long as possible, but I understand that from Rob's point of view patience is important and is necessary for the best interest of the organization.
Lets go Magic!!!

I hope we keep BBD, and to think I used to hate him. That was a good interview.

Just curious, would you be open to keeping Howard?

Yeah I just got through listening to this interview. I love his attitude and overall love for the city of Orlando and the new things that Rob Hennigan is trying to implement to this franchise.

Rudolph is a tool. he now has his twitter locked because he was catching so much heat from his biased non official reports.

Obviously the salaries would prevent this from happening, but in a vacuum, they absolutely would.

My prediction:

We will do a rebuild deal with the rockets and sign Bynum as a FA when he's ready.

Personally, I think Dwight is a fool not to give hennigan a chance to prove his ability and a new coach to guide the team. It makes zero sense to take his stance. He has nothing to lose by just keeping his mouth shut and playing the season out with a new culture. Either way he can do as he pleases afterward if he really hates the Magic organization this much. He's just a diva anyway. I haven't seen ANY evidence that would allow me to believe the FO was at fault other than holding on to Otis. That's no longer an issue so what now?

I know u were not asking me but...yes. If he stopped acting like a whiny baby and signed a 5 year extension then yes. We can still build a championship team around him the next two summers. If we do trade him, Houston better be involved.

Howard/JRIch to LAL
Bynum/Duhon/QRich to HOU
Lamb/White/Donatas/Ebanks/Douglass + picks to ORL

Sign Wayns or Flynn
Buyout Hedo now.

PG: Nelson/Douglass/Wayns
SG: Redick/Lamb/Liggins
SF: White/Ebanks/Clark
PF: Donatas/Nicholson/Harper
C: BBD/Ayon/O'Quinn

Return to Orlando Magic
