I would think the Cavaliers would want a sign and trade simply from the Boozer fiasco when a player lied and to a lesser extent losing Lebron. The Cavs may be weary that if Bynum doesn't perform that great or suffers an injury that isn't devastating but affects his value that he will sign an extension but that if he is injury free and has a great season, he may go to a different team.

I would be concerned if I was the Cavaliers since they aren't a big market like LA or NY. However, Bynum could realize that his days in LA are numbered one way or another and be willing to do a sign and trade.

Lakers are smart to try to agree to the deal first before letting Cleveland talk to Bynum.

maybe we're just a tad bit over-analyzing Jim Buss' comment?

its better to get our marbles sorted out first, before mixing them in a bag , but yeah something must be close to being agreed to for the teams to be chirping about players like this

Did Jimbo really say that about Dwight? I thought Andrew is his pet. If that's true then Mitch deserves more respect than we're giving him.

ric bucher reported this yesterday but it was updated today on espn

Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant was in Las Vegas watching summer-league action but made an unplanned return to Cleveland, sources say, and is not expected to return. In the frenzy of anticipating if, when and where Howard might be dealt, such otherwise innocuous events have been enough to inspire massive speculation that a deal is near.

interesting how the cavs gm just took off out of no-where to go back to cleavland

It's speculated he left early to be with Irving for his surgery.

every little move is given a meaning. shm.

what if he faps to Andrew's picture while taking a dump? that does mean the deal is near completion and he doesn't want to be fully loaded to avoid jizzing his pants when the deal transpires?

just saw this here it said that david lee has not been contacted by the cavs gm yet he (lee) said
"I've had zero conversations with Chris Grant," said David Lee, Bynum's agent. " I would imagine any team involved in this trade would be smart enough to talk to us.
" and this about the cleavland part ob being on andrew's list of teams to sign with
"I am often puzzled as to the basis of an article. I am particularly puzzled with that one," Lee said. "When I read it, I was in Alaska with Andrew and his family. I have no clue who he could have been talking to. I was taken aback by the list, considering there is nobody in anybody's camp he could've been talking to. I have no idea where that came about."
and on signing an extension with the cavs
"We are not in position to discuss that at this time," he said.

By Lee saying "I would imagine any team involved in this trade would be smart enough to talk to us.", that meant no team has been in contact with Bynum's camp. As far as him opting to not talk about Bynum signing an extension in Cleveland, I'm sure there's some explanation to that that I just can't think at the moment.

You might just be reaching a tad.

So basically Andrew is now trying to dictate where he goes. I guess there being a bank in every city doesn't fly with him anymore. This is going to cause the deal to crash and burn.

The last thing anyone should be is mad at Bynum for this. He's not exactly the person who asked for this.

I also find it funny that the media has thrown around the idea and taken it as fact that Bynum said he wouldn't sign an extension with Orlando and had a list of preferred teams when neither are true. lol

It was debunked on the day the summer league started, that didn't make anyone stop saying it. It'll still be said because ESPN needs a narrative to tie the story together to make it all the more dramatic.
