#Celtics-#Rockets Courtney Lee deal NOT done. JaJuan Johnson hasn't requested trade from HOU, but he'd welcome it, given the # of HOU PFs.

If the Pacers are looking for a project forward, then this is the guy. Morey would probably take cash or a 2nd rounder for him, and he has way more upside than Mavunga.

Milwaukee apparently is still looking to address its frontcourt.

Bill Ingram of HoopsWorld.com tweets today that the Bucks' brass is "taking a long look" at Jermaine O'Neal as he goes through a workout today.

The Lakers have also been linked to the veteran center, but if Milwaukee lands him it could be a sign that they're ready to move on from Larry Sanders. The No. 15 pick in 2010 has shown very little in his two seasons in Milwaukee, is struggling mightily in the Summer League, and may have fallen behind Ekpe Udoh and Drew Gooden in the depth at center. Samuel Dalembert is expected to start.

Will O'Neal be much of an upgrade over Sanders though?

He would be a nice upgrade; he's more physical; mean; and a better shot-blocker.

I'd give a 2nd round pick for Johnson in a hot second!

Johnson is not really a SF and is too small of a PF to fit in with Indy. The Pacers want an identity of a gritty; gut it out; physical team on defense.

Since we invited Julian Mavunga to training camp and still have Pendergraph on our roster, we don't need another power forward project.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I was talking about JaJuan Johnson as a project, not O'Neal.

Celtic fan here. I was a huge fan of JO early 2000's & was very happy when he decided to come to Boston. But first he literally made like 250,000 for every game he played lol. Sickening for his production.

Second, he acted like he loved being a defensive center. I thought he was happy in that role? Didn't think he was gonna come out & say Boston didn't use my talents. I mean our offense is terrible almost every night, if he coulda dropped 15pts a night it woulda been beneficial to everyone.

Anyways.. My point is as a 3rd string center for the vet min yeah he's worth it. & It'd be nice to see some loyalty & go back to his prime years team. But he just honestly can't stay healthy for anything anymore & while he's a defensive force, better make him comfortable on offense! Cause Boston didn't give him his touches meanwhile we were 2nd in league in assists!
